EA will most likely create some random moments from 2011/2012 season.

It bugs me that the last "moment of the week" (Stamkos' 60th goal) came out like three weeks ago. EA needs to start making more. There's so many different things they could use from last season. They could do stuff like Doan's first hat trick, Alfie's 400th goal in OT, Turris' OT goal from the playoffs. I think Malkin had some five or six point nights, let us relive those. IIRC Sven Bartschi scored in his first NHL game... that might be an interesting moment. The possibilities are endless.

Of course they're not endless, but you get the point.

The stupidest game misconduct penalty EVER. Steen got a game misconduct for charging because of that "charging" on Kane.

If a player is on a 3-year ELC and does not play 11 games in the year, in GM Connected, will he still be under contract for 3 years, or does it burn a year off his contract regardless of how many games the player plays.

I wonder just how in-depth GM Connected really is.

What's up with Injuries in GM Connected. Spezza has been injured for 1 game for about 3 games now. Not sure why it's not healing.

Does anyone else spend a lot of time in Instant Replay? I love watching replays of my goals, passes, plays etc...

I find it really helpful to analyze what you did right and wrong in relation to the controls and context to help yourself improve. I always take a "it's my fault, what did I do wrong, what could I have done better?" approach to my game.

Not to mention how much fun it is to watch a bad-ass realistic looking goal you just scored or an awesome animation.

i signed up for the ea nhl 13 forum. i asked when the lag in gm connected would be fixed. i got banned for asking. that's messed up.

i made a new account, asked why i was banned and asked my question again. 10 minutes later, banned again!

There's your answer. ea isn't fixing this, and they are going to hide the evidence. expect your lag fix to come in nhl 14, where they fix one problem and have 20 others appear.

I guarantee you didn't get banned for asking when the lag is going to get fixed. Hundreds of people, myself included, have already asked it without getting banned. I'm not going to pretend that they don't ban people for stupid reasons (i.e. I got banned for using the term "pain in the butt" when reporting a bug in NHL 11), but asking a question that's been asked hundreds of times before isn't one of them.

Making a new account while banned is against the ToS. No surprise there.

Can someone tell me if there's a way to edit a players height, weight and handedness? When you edit an exsisting player, you're unable to, but is there a way to turn that off? EA is beyond stupid.. as if leaving that alone would have an effect on anything. With their stupid growth system, you need to make certain players smaller to ensure they don't grow to ridiculous heights (Teravainen, for example). Also, like every year, EA somehow manages to screw up some players handedness and of course, now, you can't edit it. .

Currently in 2031 in Be A GM. I turned injuries off around 2020 as it was just ridiculous. Im about to never play again with the salary cap on either. I literally have guys asking for 8 million a year and they've never stepped on the NHL ice, they're rated 75-77 and they're statistics are pretty lacking.

What I've noticed is the game tried to eliminate signing guys to cheaper 8 year contracts. Instead the players are asking for more money on longer term deals. That's rarely the case in real life. The only reason you would do it in the game is due to inflation of contracts. Also, the game has pre-determined if a guy is going to "make it"... You'll notice some guys asking for $2 million for two years but if you look at what they're asking for 6-8 year contracts it'll go up to $9 - $12 million.

Im thinking EA out thought themselves on this one.

Yeah, I know, that's why I'm annoyed. I'd love to hear EA's reasoning behind eliminating a person's ability to alter players for offline rosters. It doesn't have an effect on anything.

It seems once most players trail by 3 goals online they quit. I respect the guys that will finish the game. Although last week I was playing a guy 0-0 12 mins into the first period and I had to leave so I shut off my xbox. My opponent messages me saying I'm a ***** and a *** haha, idiots.

Too bad the other guy never drops his purse. Some guys love to toe drag score 6 times a game, up 6-0 but won't drop their purses.

I wouldn't worry about it since GameShark hasn't produced a cheat device for any of the current generation of systems.

I'd say that whoever accused you is probably like ten years old, but that'd basically mean that the last GameShark was released when they were born and that they're unlikely to even remember the brand.
Then again, I'm 20 and remember Game Genie, so I guess it's possible.

I really dont like how easy it is to be completely annihilated from behind in NHL 13. I dont get how i can have the puck in a semi 1 on 1 and then the guy behind be checks me and i just crumple. Kills a lot of scoring chances and i'm pretty sure thats a penalty.

Can you not get waved out of the faceoff circle in this game? And people call this game realistic?


Why doesnt the CPU get their sticks on incoming shots? I can barrel down and tee it up 99/100 times without the cpu getting their stick on it. How many times do you see this in real life? 15-25x a game easily

Same with entering the zone on the PP, the cpu just lets you in all the time and theres no challenge. How lame and boring. Even Dan Carcillo can carry the puck into the zone everytime with no challenge lol.

This is why HOckey games are no good anymore. NHl 13 is hardly realistic.

Hahaha, back on the old consoles like N64 and Sega you could get this cartridge that had preloaded cheat codes for games that were both intended to be in the game and other ones that were not. Basically you plug it in, plug your game in on top of it and you can turn different cheats on from a gameshark menu then launch the game.
