Having Gonzales and Hunter both as top tier CBs is great in theory, but it's not how they should be constructing there team. Your also talking about paying both these guys around a total of $60 million combined a year when there rookie deals are up in a couple years. Just not a good way to allocate resources.

Id also argue that pass rush is just as important if not more important than pass coverages. Starting in the 2003 AFCCG l, every year that has gone by the NFL madw it harder and harder to play pass coverage and tilts the game more towards the QB, WRs and Offense. The only effective way to combat that is with a good pass rush

If they're both good enough at the end of Hunter's rookie deal to warrant that kind of combined money take him and worry about it after five years of Legion of Boom-level secondary defense.

Shedeur Sanders Gives Loud Denial of Placement in ESPN Mock Draft — Sports Illustrated

“Former Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders is one of the top prospects in the upcoming draft. While Sanders was at the gym, an ESPN TV segment was airing and talking over analyst Field Yates's latest mock draft, which has the Las Vegas Raiders selecting him with the sixth pick in the draft.

Sanders denied the idea that he would get taken sixth in the draft, calling out "That’s cap bruh, I ain’t going sixth."

No ego with this kid :thumbd:

Megatron ran a 4.35, Tet will be a 4.5. I think Tet will be a good to great NFL receiver i just think it's silly to say he CAN'T bust just because he's big. Plenty of WRs Tet's size never pan out
Maye doesn't have a good to great WR. Noone with size other than the tight ends. Tet is pretty far ahead of the other guys in this class. Played for a bad team but produced.

I do worry Maye regresses if his WRs blow again. Teams will have film on him he's gonna run and take hits don't F around none of these WRs want to sign here. Even if he ends up a high end #2 that's still good get a speedy 1.

Hard pass. He's another N'Keal Harry.

Harry: 4.53 40 and 38" vertical
Tet: 4.50 40 and 34" vertical (self reported)

He's a tall WR without separation or the ability to leap over.

For reference, Metcalf in the combine had a 4.33 40 and 40" vertical

Looking at the top 32 WRs by yards per game last year, 25 have only played for one team. Of the remaining 7, only 3 have ever reached free agency: Jakobi Meyers, Adam Thielen, and Calvin Ridley. (Not trying to rehash the mistake that was made with Meyers here).

They can't rely on signing or trading for WRs, they need to draft and develop them. What they really need to do is find a mid-round gem like Puka Nacua, Nico Collins, Chris Godwin, Amon-Ra St. Brown, or Terry McLaurin.

If Tee ain't coming, you gotta get Kupp or someone else. Kupp can still play at a high level. Provides a veteran leadership for Drake. He's a warrior.

But also. You gotta draft the freak that is Hunter if Carter isn't there. He can play both positions just fine

Pass on hitching our wagon to a 31 yr old who hasn't been able to stay on the field since 2021

I’d deal 4 for Myles Garrett but probably not getting it done

They need a LT anchor ~ if Drakes blind side is protected he’s going to be a killer

Ideally I’d like to trade 4 back and grab Campbell or Banks and additional pick(s)

As for WR if Higgins is not available & AJ Brown is a pipe dream I’d go for 2 guys who are elite competitors and great in the room- Chris Godwin or Kupp.

If they could ever get the Raiders to jump up and get their 38th OA they could be in a great spot to get Williams/Banks at 6 and two very good players in round 2 and have 2 more picks in round 3

With 3-5 FA signings you can add 8-10 players right there

Garrett has Washington written all over him.

Is this not incredibly dumb by the Bengals? How can you have that much tied up on two guys at the same position?
Yup but Chase won’t get paid mega till next season

So Bengals could probably pull it off for one season at about 48 M for both

Higgins could be looking at 5/140 from Patriots

He’s getting 26 M on the tag

He’s gotta be very pissed

Bengals can’t be paying 60 M on two WR

Garrett has Washington written all over him.
Yeh seems a good match

But if they’re both getting paid like that then you factor in burrow, it’s a mess. Idk what’s going on, they should be letting him hit UFA
