Jeff fisher signs extension with rams...today is not april 1

Well he's a shoe-in to break the all-time coaching losses record.

Assuming they lose today, he'll need two more to have sole possession.

He honestly by the end of that extension could fall to under .500 as a coach, with over 350 games coached, just sad.

The Patriots got a piece of good news Saturday as a league source confirmed that defensive tackle Alan Branch has won the appeal of his four-game suspension.

Branch was hit with the ban earlier this month for violating the league’s substance abuse policy. Branch reportedly failed a test for marijuana.

Very good news for the Patriots, as Branch has been very consistent in the middle, and after Branch and Brown, they really have a lot of unknowns as depth for that position right now.

Two random thoughts about this situation;

1) Shocked an NFL player actually won an appeal.
2) What the hell happened that he actually won the appeal? Did he actually fail the test? Get off on a technicality? Very curious.

Basically he failed back to back tests, one put him one failed test away from a suspension, the second obviously gave him a suspension initially. But he failed the 2nd only because it was so close to the 1st and the same marijuana in his system that caused the 1st failed test also caused the 2nd. Shouldn't have even had to appeal.

This is exactly what I was looking for thank you.

That system seems a tad rigged. Then again, it's the NFL so I'm not surprised.

It's also dumb that one of the least harmful drugs on their list is the one that stays in your system the longest. If you wanted to do drugs and pass tests, it'd be better to use cocaine or meth (performance effects notwithstanding) as those are undetectable after a few days.

Can anyone give a reasonable explanation for this? Seriously.

Looks like TuukkaTime/seidenbergy owes someone an apology! :laugh:

For providing a link to a ben volin report that said branch failed 4 tests and was suspended for it? LOL.

Your obsession with me is beyond creepy.
