Not sure if people saw this yesterday or not?

The award for biggest hypocrite in the NFL goes to John Harbaugh after he exploits a loophole in the rulebook (game can end on an offensive penalty) by having all of his players commit holding penalties on Bengals players and taking a safety to avoid the possibility of a blocked punt or return for TD:

The ravens did that exact same thing against the niners in the SB. Guaranteed that if someone did it to his team first, he'd be complaining about it.

Breaking news on the radio-Gronk back surgery

Getting sick of schefter and whoever else always telling us his injuries aren't a big deal etc and then pow...done for a while.

But hey, if your source gives you bad info, keep going back to them for more!

If he's healthy for the super bowl, we should still be the favorites. We still have more talent than Denver or KC or Pittsburgh and more experience than Oakland. Seattle would be the clear favorite if Gronk weren't healthy against them though. And obviously being the favorite in both AFC playoff games doesn't mean we'll win both.

Need Mitchell to be legit. We'll see lots of 3 WR sets.

Time to get Bennett more involved, seriously. It seems like he's been super under-utilized.

And you're right, we better hope Mitchell is legit. He's about the only downfield option we have right now.

3-5 weeks is typically the time table for that injury. Even if he's good to go for the last game of the year they should sit him out. Get the first round bye, and bam, you have 5-6 weeks off.

In other words, should be good to go for the Divisional round.

Huh? Unless I'm missing something, he had the same injury in 2013, had surgery in June and wasn't ready to play until October.

Same in 2009.

When he first got out of surgery, “he felt like an anchor was strapped to his back,” Schober wrote. “Movements were limited and tentative. A sudden shift drew sharp daggers raking against his spine.”

“His body needed to remain straight and avoid sideways movements for six weeks afterward.”

“I just chilled for a month and a half, sitting on the couch,” Gronkowski said. “That’s basically all you can do.”

“Once you have back surgery, you have to lay off,” said his father, Gordy Gronkowski. “You need to stay still for three weeks. You can walk, but never bend. You can’t turn. You get out of bed a certain way.”

After being holed up for a month and a half, Rob finally was able to do back and core exercises, which “helped minimize the setbacks and flare-ups,” Schober wrote.

One troubling aspect — Gronkowski was not fully healed to participate at the NFL Combine, which occurred at the end of February, five months after his surgery.

I can't recall 2013 very well, but there's a massive difference from getting offseason surgery and not being able to train and condition and having to take extra time to get back into shape, than getting it done during the season and coming back.

Everything I;ve read on that surgery was 3-6 weeks, closer to the latter. Though I've read other reports it's 6-8. Who knows anymore.

Bennett hasn't been 100% either. Is he (getting) there?

To walk, maybe. Not play an NFL game.

yup- cant see him playing especially with his history and even though back surgery has come a long way and we aren't doctors this seems obvious

Well 8 weeks puts him on track for the week before the Super Bowl. As long as this team doesn't **** away HFA again, even without Gronk they probably should still make it there.

They should be favourites. But "any given Sunday"...
