Florida has been bad, but up until recently LA was struggling too.

How old is Gagne now? He's like 34 or so?

He's only 32 turning 33 this month actually. I remember him from the 2000 ECF.

I might get many disagreements but I've always thought Weiss was pretty overrated rather than underrated. I know he's a good player and isn't nearly as bad as he's been playing but I think a lot of people think he is better than I think he is at least.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Kings consulted Gagne about where he'd prefer to be traded. Wouldn't have minded Gagne, but we probably filled that spot with Ponikarovsky already. Not sure what we have that would have topped a conditional 3rd (Urbom? Burlon? Gelinas?).

On an unrelated note, my friend started following the Kings last year (before the playoffs). She was telling me that she was going to an autograph signing this past weekend which included "Gag-knee". I had to take a deep breath and let it go before calmly telling her how to pronounce his name.

Yup, our 2013 went to the Wild because we made the ECF. Currently we have:

2013: 1st*, 2nd, 4th, 6th [3rd = Zidlicky, 5th = Loktionov, 7th = Ponikarovsky]
2014: 1st*, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 6th, 7th [4th = Ponikarovsky]

I don't speak French and yet still somehow recognize that a French speaking player from Quebec may have a French name. It should at least get you asking the question, even if you can't pronounce it right away.

Right now, we just don't have many pieces to pull off a good trade. Not sure we'll see much more than super depth moves. Richard Smehlik 2013 come on down!

Handful of other friends went (including one guy who unfortunately died in an accident a few years later). Then again, I had just graduated college and probably didn't have the expendable cash to do it.

I have a friend moving to Dallas soon. I'm waiting for next season's NFL/NHL schedules to see if I can get Cowboys/Stars games in one weekend.

Edit: Montreal also gets a 3rd in the Ryder/Cole deal. Now have they 6 picks in the first three rounds--Their own three picks plus Calgary's #2, Nashville's #2, and now Dallas' #3.

They play Columbus (hello Dubinsky and Prospal lol). I'm excited to take in the game atmosphere and of course the city of Nashville itself.
