Post is reporting that the Islanders are currently focus grouping possible rebranding for their move to Brooklyn including new colors and maybe new logo. Head of Barclay's wants to adopt the Nets new color scheme "black and white" to the Isles...so someone created a concept for that http://www.icethetics.info/storage/....png?__SQUARESPACE_CACHEVERSION=1365067515841

WTF?!? Bring the fisherman back before going black and white. Yuck.

Pure madness. Why must they try and copy the colours of other teams? Just leave it the way it is.

Leave the Isles logo/color scheme alone Barclays, geez. Black and white looks horrible on the Nets as it is.

Nets website is reporting that the Nets marketing team (Yormark, etc.) will take over Islanders marketing and likely rebrand the team, at least in terms of colors and possibly logo.

I see that Parise didn't lose a step when the playoffs comes a knocking... ;)

Yep. Back to his old invisible playoff self.

I watched a period of that game and I got to say, I'm pissed that he left cause we didn't replace his production but I'm sooooooooooooooooooooooooo happy that we didn't throw the bank his way cause he's a FANTASTIC "complementary" top line forward, not a guy that can put his team on his back on his own when need be.

He's so easy to contain, it's not even funny. He'll never quit and his legs are moving faster then anyone on the ice but in the post season, where everything is air tight, he just doesn't have what it takes to create his own room.

Was it Seabrook that contained him all night long, I don't remember, but it sure brought up some old memories.

Parise plays at his highest level all season long, he doesn't have another level in the playoffs like everyone else. That's why he is mostly a non factor.

The truth is Parise cannot create offense. You want to know why he was pretty good last year in the playoffs ?? Because Kovy created offense for him. The past years when Kovy wasnt here, Zach couldnt do crap in the playoffs. I would love him back on this team, we need a forward like him, but not at that cap hit and contract length

Yes, we need exactly, precisely a forward like him.
Game-wise his decision to sign with Minny was plain awful and hurt both sides.

Honestly I don't care if you are gay or straight as my teammate. As long as you don't listen to Nickelback. #courage

Exactly. And when his speed goes in a few years and he can't score the garbage goals or forecheck like he used to, the complaints about his contract will start.

Ya it seems Barcley's really wants to do some sort of rebranding, but Wang doesn't want to change a thing. Seems they aren't sure how to not piss off the existing Isles fanbase, but also appeal to Brooklyn. Odds are they will mess this up royally. Kind of like how the Pens are messing the Isles up right now.

People will say its just us putting a microscope on the negatives but this is 100% true, his play style does NOT lend itself to age.

I'm pretty tired of this black & white color scheme. They should stay with what they have or at least go to Dodger blue & white.
