President's Trophy to.... whatever they call that over at MSG. Sheesh. I don't know if I've ever seen that before from a team where they won the President's Trophy and then absolutely cratered the next season.

They're gonna run into the Lundqvist 2.0 Era by locking in Igor.
its happened 3 times rags 91-92 missed 93; sabres 06-07 missed 08; bruins 13-14, missed 15, rags could be the 4th at this rate, but i doubt they miss the playoffs.

So glad they locked up Laffy too.

To be fair, he is not the bust I had hoped for but he’s still a disappointment based on his draft position. He’s also overpaid a good bit. So sad.

Maybe the Rangers will write another letter to their fans explaining the situation and everyone will feel good again.
I’m not one to throw stones in a glass house and whatnot, so can’t really trash them, but maybe trading captain elbows had a negative effect on the players?

Seems like Drury’s antics haven’t been well received, especially when Drury named Trouba the Captain not too long ago.

Now, the bigger issue is whether Lavy was in support of Drury targeting Trouba and Kreider. If the players sense that or believe it, then the players want no part of Lavy.

This is 100% an organizational screw up, worse is it’s been directed from an insider, ie a player as GM.

I mean there's no way right...?

RIGHT????

You would think, no way.

How about the Isles and Lou agree to part ways and Lou becomes President/Director of Hockey Operations of the NYR with Messier as GM (Chris L can be asst GM or Director of Player Development or some such title). Lou will then complete the NY Metro Trifecta.

Sounds like MSG is promoting the tri-state challenge a little too seriously

Was Drury fired? I keep seeing things talking about his replacement, but he wasn’t even fired yet. Unless I missed something.

Click bait.

My guess is Dolan is letting him clean up his mess, but will eventually axe him once he’s cleared out a bunch of players.

New GM gets a fresh table to work with.

If there's one thing I appreciate about Lou and our ownership, is that this kind of clown car crap from our past is a distant memory. NYR looks like mess behind the scenes...

NYR collapsing is really the only silver lining for Isles fans this season. While this season has been torturous for us, imagine how much worse it would be if the Rags were good.

It won’t be when the Rags get another dented ping pong ball in a season that we didn’t intentionally tank and could realistically end up bottom 5 in the NHL.
