Long season, but lots of roster turnover takes time in a team dependent sport. The EDM reporter earlier in the week mentioned that the roster turnover in EDM had been overlooked and is having an impact.

Sadly, this makes me feel better about Lou’s decisions.

Our primary problem remains the lack of high end talent. In prior years I used to obsess about this with our forwards though frankly I think our meh defense may now be our weakest link.

My takeaway is that Lou isn’t the only GM giving out bad deals. That doesn’t excuse Lou nor does it make me feel better about the Islanders cap situation. Just a statement of fact.

1.) I think Nashville turns it around that is a lot of new pieces for immediate success.

2.) I still think it would have made sense for Lou to have Trotz as next in line if Trotz was willing to wait. I do not believe he was willing to wait over Nashville though.
