NHL needs to institute a playoff game time salary cap. You can carry whatever cap hit on your playoff roster. But come game time, your starting roster can’t exceed a specific game time cap amount.

Unless you continue to see it successfully abused. Then the owners that can't afford to do it (like 2/3 of the league) might raise a stink. It's kinda what happened when teams were giving those 15 year contracts with $1m for the last 5 years to drive the aav down.

They are as it doesn’t affect their bottom line. But at some point as @Richie Daggers Crime wrote above… if it’s continually abused to the point of becoming a PR hypocrisy. Which it appears it will be, as it is now becoming the norm.

Eberle two more years in Seattle. It seems he found home for the rest of his carreer as a player. I would have him taken back, he's still better than scrubs like Wahlstrom. But we are already an old team and adding a 33year old not preferable for long time.
