With enough talent you can take a decent center and make him good enough as we've seen with Strome. Not that I want it to be Strome, but the Rangers dont' exactly need a superstar center if they put Panarin on his wing

I get that Byfield would probably be the "smarter" pick, but Laf has been dubbed the #1 pick in this draft for a long while. He's BPA and will in all likelihood, be the pick.
