Smith is a major disappointment. Still not sure why Holden gets as much ice time as he does. Hank looked really good until that Wilson goal. McD looked bad.

Wtf did Smith do wrong? What game were you watching?

If Smith is a major disappoint based off this game then im not sure what McDonagh is...

Played like **** again, but actually lost the game. So that's different. Alot of guys no showing, Nash, Hayes, Buch, Kreider, McDonagh looked bad, Skjei looked bad, Shattenkirk had some good moments, but some really bad moments. Staal-Smith pairing is abhorrent.

I thought Buch and Kreider had solid games.. Theyre draggin around DD

And then McDonagh scored the goal for him.


Brutal game defensively. Just atrocious. I particularly liked when the 5 players on the ice just forgot about the puck and wanted to grapple with Wilson leaving the Caps players all alone for 3 straight point blank chances.

Great D zone coverage on that winning goal. Just terrific stuff.

The clown who has had his teams stop playing unless they're trailing in the game? Do you remember the finals and the leads we had? Blown leads wasn't an issue we had under Tortorella. It's a hallmark of this coach, and it's the reason your defense of him is "back to back conference finals" and not "back to back stanley cups".

Lets be honest its amazing a team with this roster won 12 out of its last 15. There is no one who can take over a game. Not even close. This is a team that has to win as a team with 3 or 4 lines contributing. Truly amazing they didn't tune out the coach after the abysmal start

Shattenkirk looked worse than holden and staal combined circa playoffs 2017 on that game winning goal lol
from the horrible turnover , to gloving the puck right to the caps , to fumbling the puck right in front of Hank...all on one shift.
Hopefully he redeems himself tomorrow. almost feels like a must win tomorrow.

Rangers carried the play in the second period. That’s it. Caps were better in the 1st and most of the 3rd.


This team desperately needs Zibanejad back. Not only is his line beyond worse without him, but the power play is Torts era bad without him.


And if I see Zucc or anyone else get the puck in a good shooting area, look up and shoot the puck directly into the goalie’s chest again, I’m gonna smash my Tv.

Please fire AV. It is INSANE. Insane the amount of goals scored against in the first minutes of every f***ing game. That is the coach NOT the team. The coach never has them ready to play. TWO DAYS OFF. TWO. Goal 14 seconds in. Sure blame Hank (because I do, that shouldve been stopped) but its not his fault every game.

What did Buch do to have a solid game? I want to join in on the praise as much as everone else, but I haven't seen much from him outside of the Florida game for a while now. He still struggles along the boards, Outside of the pass to Kreider, I legitimately can't remember the last time he set someone up for a shot attempt, he hasn't been generating much offense at all. When he was playing well I praised him, but to be honest he's been underwhelming lately.

Should have been a penalty called on burakowsy for mugging Carey in the corner on third goal total joke.

But you can’t play that way in the first period. Hank can’t get scored on like that. Team can’t stand around for 20’mins to start the game

Team can’t tie it up then play hair on fire instead of locking it down and getting that point.

Terrible coaching and very disappointing game from Shattenkirk who let Trotz get in his head. He was terrible. Zucc was also terrible.
