Imagine if our PP wasn't abysmal right now? My goodness, if we could turn it around, who knows what we are capable of this playoffs?
I hope so. I am nervous about The PK of Boston/Montreal. So The PP betetr start producing soon

I'm greedy. I want Sunday's game as well.

Time to show some nut and go out and take game 2.

The Rangers are more than capable of it.

A near .950 save % and we were the better team? We were outplayed in the 2nd and 3rd by a fairly wide margin. Credit where credit is due, please.

Yup. I don't get it either. Penguins were the better team. We outplayed them significantly in the first. They outplayed us significantly in the second, they had a clear edge in the third too. Penguins also had the better chances. They were the better team.

Difference tonight was Lundqvist.

Fleury is very shaky. If we can can keep the pressure on him and if we can ever get the PP going than we should be fine no matter how many playmakers the pens have

Well i stayed off the boards tonight to avoid all the negativity which would abound...Glad i did...and proud of the boys for winning like they did... as i knew they would... LGR!!!!!!!!!

Sorry I can't agree with you about us being outplayed in the 3rd. Our 3rd period was very good and we definitely played better than the pens.

We were outplayed in the 2nd. The 3rd was fairly even.

We did squat in the 3rd. We forced Fleury to make... one tough save? Did he even need to make a tough save?

It wasn't a lopsided as the second, but they clearly outplayed in the third IMO (I'm not saying dominated, but the Penguins seemed to have a territorial edge, out shot us, and out chanced us)

Lundqvist was incredible.

That was goalie interference on the 2nd PIT goal. Complete ********.

We got thrown off our game in the 2nd after some bad penalties. Got it back in the 3rd. Gotta play 60 minutes a night.

Gritty win though. Terrific job by Brassard and Pouliot in OT.

Marc Staal is playing absolutely unreal right now.
I agree he has played like 2010-11 staal. Giarrdi si really struggling and Macdonough si as well but at least macdonough is playing at 50% which explains his bad play

Some thoughts:

1) That Pens d really sucks. We should be able to exploit that all series long.
2) Fluery really is shaky. He made a few great saves but for the most part he looks pedestrian out there. Keep throwing the puck on net and it will go in.
3) AV is a much better in game coach then Torts. Pens made some good adjustments in between the 1st and 2nd and really dictated play in the 2nd. Between the 2nd and 3rd AV made some adjustments and from there the Rangers really played a solid game.
4) Usually pretty nervous about Rangers playoff games. Not this time. Pens are really beatable right now.
Can't wait until Sunday.
LETS GO RANGERS!

the importance of this win cannot be under stated. 3rd game in 4 nights, a back to back coming up. still erasing the game 6 loss from the collective thought process. also allows for another day for Kreider to rehab and get healthier.

HUGE win

Not to mention they took care of business quickly in the 1st OT.
