This won't be a popular post but Lundqvist is both the reason we got a point and didn't lose in regulation and also the reason we didn't get a second point. At this point I can probably just turn off the game when the shootout starts he's that f***ing awful. He, not Vesey was why we lost that shootout. Then again, we should have lost 8-3, so there's that.

Nobody who watched last year's playoffs should be surprised about what we've seen from Shattenkirk. This is who he is. Great offensive talent. Makes egregious turnovers and is shoddy defensively at times.

Also, as bad as we've been I thought that that Stars game was a one off game where you burn the tape. Then a f***ing week later it seems like (I say seems like because I only saw the 3rd period, OT, and SO) we played another one. Either this team is that bad or their coach is a clown, has to be the latter.
 
Nice of Vesey to make almost no move and then literally shoot the puck directly into Schneider’s logo.

Zucc’s was a bad attempt too, players watch film can’t do the same move every single time. Schneider didn’t even move.

But AV’s shootout attempts are unbelievable. Vesey and Shatty before Hayes, Nash, Buch, Miller? Why?

How does Buch not get an OT shift?

That PP with 1:08 left in OT and not even anything resembling pressure. Awful. If we were the defending team we would’ve given at least 3 grade A chances up I’m that time.

Because I don't think the personnel on this team is that horrible. I think the personnel on D improved if anything from last year. That said I don't know if AV's system changed or what. I wish Gorton had balls and fired him Two weeks in a row games that used to not happen for seasons happened. f***ing joke.

The Rangers had multiple chances to win this game. Multiple.

Shattenkirk definitely helps the team. The question is whether he's worth his cap hit. Probably not, but he makes us a better hockey team than if a replacement level player was in his place.

Who would've thought that Butcher in his rookie season is already better than Shattenkirk...

He's been abysmal this month but the whole team has been abysmal this month.

He still has the best shots against rate on the team by some distance.

They had multiple more chances to lose 5-1. The first 40 minutes was inexcusable and that has been par for the course.
