Everyone blaming Biron has no idea what they're talking about. I've seen a backup goaltender, who aside from one bad goal, has played a real solid game.
I keep seeing "3 goals on 15 shots" or "3 goals on 17 shots" being inexcusable. He's a back up goaltender who has been hung out to dry. Total number of shots aren't indicative of the quality of shots. MTL has gotten Grade A chance after Grade A chance. I can't remember the last time the Rangers allowed this many odd man rushes against.
Personally, I think MTL could have another goal or two on the board. People are taking for granted how many top notch saves he made.
And, so what, he isn't out dueling Price. Did you expect him to? Price is one of the better starters in the NHL who has the Rangers number at the Bell Centre. You think the Rangers would play a responsible defensive game knowing that? That'd make too much sense. And to boot, they don't give their back up goaltender any support by putting a goal on the board.
Any of you putting this on Biron really need a reality check.
