Zucc one of the best Rangers. With decent goal scorers he should have had at least 3 assists...

This team is the tin man of the NHL. No heart whatsoever. Shutout twice In a row. This is not an NHL caliber team, sorry. Mentally weak cowards is what this team is made of. This offensive scheme is a ****ing joke.

I am positive about our progress toward Torts' firing. If we lose 5 games in a row with a total score of 10-0, Torts might be fired this season, straight up.

Torts has taken this team as far as he can. It's time for a new voice. Preferably one that practices offense.

only thing missing from zuke re dubut tonight is a goal or an assist...

nice hit there little man..

hmm Edmonton following NYR.. i hope its for Smid, but knowing Sather its Whintey..

Opinions like this are welcome here, but this opinion specifically is why I question the intelligence of most human beings on the planet on a daily basis.

:help:

To each his own. I'll continue to look to the standings. Every time someone tells me that we won this trade, I'll just look to the standings for my argument. Worse team after the trade.

Still should have signed Semin to a one year deal. Kept the depth players. Lose no assets. That would have been my ideal situation.

This is the last thing I'm going to say about the Nash trade.

The Rangers #1 problem last year was scoring goals... even with Arti, Dubi, Prust, Feds, Mitchell, etc, you name it, the Rangers problem especially towards the end of the season into the playoffs was scoring goals. Rick Nash was brought in here to do that, and if this was a full 82 game season, he'd be on pace for well over 30 goals he'd doing his job.

Now you want to whine about us giving up "Depth" to acquire Nash.. Well to that I say ********, we gave up TWO players who would help this team NOW (if you can even count Dubinsky).. Last I looked the Rangers had cap space (oh and they still do!) after the Nash trade was completed to replace some of that depth they lost. They went with Pyatt over Brandon Prust that was their choice, overpaid or not, Prust is the better player. They let Feds, Mitchell etc go, without even making an offer, again thats their fault, and I dont really blame them, because AGAIN the Rangers problem last year was SCORING GOALS.. Fedotenko? 1 goal this year... Brandon Dubinsky? 1 goal this year.. Mitchell? 9 goals (he's actually been the biggest loss if you go by this season).

so AGAIN, the Rangers problem last year was scoring goals! Rick Nash is doing that better than ANYONE on our team. You want to blame someone? blame the Rangers organization for not being able to find a guy or two who could even produce 5 goals for this team!

As has been mentioned in previous GDTs, I have no idea how Sam and Joe can keep from going all Harry Doyle on this team.

You're kidding, right? Why do you think we weren't signing any secondary scorers? This is not that difficult. This team was banking on Kreider providing our secondary scoring. I don't even know how anyone could actually disagree on that, since it's a fact. His poor play has caused a ton of problems for this team, since we have had to resort to plugging Miller into his role, playing Boyle more, etc. His poor play has caused so many problems it's not even funny. We have ZERO secondary scoring.

Again, a lot of that blame can go to Sather for not hedging his bet properly. But that's hindsight at this point.

Sather was BANKING on Kreider putting up .50 PPG this season.

I have to wonder, though, how much better they would be if they had a consistently good player like Kreider with them. It's obvious that Richards doesn't mesh with Nash and that Stepan does. But it's just as obvious that Callahan is not a top 6 player.

I don't know. A lot of the blame goes to Gabby and Richards. I agree. Just trying to wrap my head around all of it.

you're blaming our problems on a ****ing 20 year old, who all but got us 2 games from the cup last year. how about losing dubinsky and anisimov and not getting someone to fill those holes. how about letting feds and prust go and replacing them with pyatt and powe and halpern who can't provide offense if guns were to their heads. those are the issues, not a 20 year old kid that is learning the game and stepped in **** to save us last year.

give me a break.

What we don't do enough is just center the puck. Just center the puck bro. That's how you score goals. Board battle that we lose 60% of ending in turnover and losing puck possessions makes more sense than creating offense because?

Because we can defend effectively if we only lose board battles. Defense first offense, boys.
