Final nail in the coffin of Dean and Sutter. It's a results oriented business and one playoff win in three years with a high payroll, money being paid to guys to fish and a farm system that is among the worst in the league means they have to go.

I can't wait to see what changes the summer brings, not only on the ice but with a new GM and coach.
I think a coaching change would improve this team, not so much a change in GM.

Can't wait to see how many of these guys look under a new coach hopefully next year. Lots of players who haven't played under anyone but Murray and Sutter.

DL's contract expires too, no?

With the trend since 2014, they'll probably end up losing the lottery and picking 28th somehow.

Scoring is for losers.

I dunno about being a final nail. I do think Dean brought a new culture to the organization and required a certain commitment from everyone in the organization on how to do things to win.

He lost his way by being too compassionate with the players who made the journey with him.

I still would like to see Dean stay as a senior executive with Futa taking over as GM. Not sure Sutter would want to come back under those conditions. It is time to turn the page, and that includes on some of the players on the roster.

Love the rangers fans. Guess 2014 was a lifetime ago for them.

A regular season game in 2017 can't hold a candle to Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final in 2014. The Rangers will be lucky to win 2 rounds this year.

I'm wondering, what will be the excuse next year for some of them?

The season really has come down to losing to teams below themselves in the standings, especially at home.

Just 2 EN goals, and 10 points in the last 19 games since the bye week for Carter. 1 ES point, and 6 total points since the Kesler punch 13 games ago. Things even out as the season unfolds, but he's been as unproductive in the last 6 weeks as Kopitar was earlier in the season.

Brodzinski looked quicker and more decisive than I thought he would. Pretty aggressive too. And I'm glad some people got to see his ridiculous shot even with a rolling puck, so freaking hard

Interesting to get the outside perspective of a Rangers fan who said we have one of the worst 1st lines in the league.

Is that double digit shutouts? I didn't watch one second of this game. Instead my wife and I went out for a walk, and then went to a movie. Thanks for sucking Kings!!
