It wasn't necessarily about having an opinion on him, just that he was a former Rumble Bee and potentially has access to the logo via legitimate means (I doubt it though).
You mean, he has access to ClipArt?

No, he kept his jersey and they can photocopy the logo from the front of it.You mean, he has access to ClipArt?
I imagine also. Just a bit tongue in cheek. My thoughts are those are just placeholders on the website and there are not any actual games scheduled yet
Look on the bright side: Without this thread, our Silly Season chat options would be Gulf Coast team logos or NWHL rebranding.... I think the whole thing was dreamed up by a couple of stoners who are now getting a laugh out of people actually discussing it.
Hmm, four "guests" reading this thread right now...

Yeah, but you typically don't see all rookie teams and if you do, they don't do well.Everybody's a rookie at some point in their life journey.
Even before you rooted out some of the principal rookies - BTW - did you think this new league would do well?Yeah, but you typically don't see all rookie teams and if you do, they don't do well.
Poking around, it appears that he had spent some time hopping around the European semi-pro circuit. Eliteprospects has grown but they still don't encompass all leagues (nor should they). But in all reality, no he is not a pro and this should be fun to watch.Am I missing something here? Looks like he only played 3 FHL games over 2 seasons, then took a 4-year break before playing 5 more. I assume he was just playing on tryouts and not actual contracts. He is for all intents and purposes not a pro player.
Is there a reason to have an opinion on this guy?
So putting together all of the useful information from that website, I've established a summary narrative ... The first member club of the new Single A WPHL, the Las Vegas Millionaires (owned by Hasbro), has one unnamed rostered player (a 6 ft.-1 in. 104 lb. defenseman) who will begin play on October 22, 2021 against an unknown team at the Pepsi Ice Arena in the North Las Vegas Fiesta Rancho Hotel and Casino complex. Sign me up for season tickets, please.
So I did some digging and found the Vice Commissioner is Jerry Deno. Long history of working in Single-A hockey. Worked in the NEPHL, came to the Fed and worked for the league for the first four seasons, was the vice president for the failed start-up league NAPHL, has been a scout for Elmira and Coventry in the EIHL.
Here's an article from the Feds first year

That was the only thing they had going for them. Dang hockey board squealers.Just checked the website to see if there was any news on the league and noticed the Las Vegas team changed their logo. It no longer features the Monopoly Man

That's simply a defensive move to counter the social media suggestions that "WPHL" = "Western Professional Hockey Losers."
Well according the league standings, the Las Vegas Millionares are 0-2Best I can tell from the Pepsi Ice Arena facility rental schedule, the Millionaires & WPHL didn't manage to play their inaugural match on October 22. Good thing I didn't buy tickets for THAT home opener.
The Millionaires lost on downs.Has anyone pointed out the following text at the top of the schedule page:
"Teams may substitute any number of their players between downs; this “platoon” system replaced the original system, which featured limited substitution rules, and has resulted in teams utilizing specialized offensive, defensive and special teams squads."
Well according the league standings, the Las Vegas Millionares are 0-2

Hard to get those first downs with only 1 player on the roster. The Millionaires lost on downs.
Hey, I think I've got an Associate Degree in General Studies diploma from them in a box somewhere. But we NEED Single-A hockey!!!!
Where else will club clowns play "pro" when they graduate from Southeast Midwestern State A&M's ACHA Division I squad????
