New Uniforms (please!!)

We need something with this on the front......

We shouldn't consider changing them because:

1) I like them.
2) We are experiencing our greatest success in them.
3) Do we really want to contribute to the awful trend of changing jerseys every 2/3 seasons?

All's they gotta do is use the Stark colour scheme, but have the vintage 70's Kings crown in black, white and silver. Put some swords and **** on there, perhaps some princess teats as well...

i don't get this fascination with blue, gold, or purple. those are terrible colors. black is THE best color for a sports team, and we have it. can't we move past the purple and glitter?

but our logo does suck. enough that it could make us the worst jersey in the NHL. I always like the simple classic looks. Had we just had a simple crown, "LA" as a symbol, or a clean looking lion in front of our jersey, I think we would be the best in the NHL. But of course, there's that obsession with the medieval theme, so they had to put a shield on it...

too bad Sutter wasn't here for the design of these jerseys. He'd probably throw away that logo like he did the paper-mache castle doors they walked out of.

I don't think anybody is saying ditch black. But black and purple was a very unique combination (and a classy combo). The current Kings could play on a black and white tube TV and you wouldn't know the difference. It's boring.

Not hating on the Ducks just because they are the Ducks, but the fact they are in the Top 20 on this list instantly negates it. Also, they are using the wrong logo for the Kings.

Anyways, these jerseys are much better than all of the post-Chevy era ones. Black and purple is a terrible combination...the purple doesn't pop enough next to the black. If you are going to have black, you need a brighter/lighter color such as silver, white. teal, red etc...

Much like the chevy logo era ones, the white ones are fantastic and look great in person and on TV. The league should go back to home whites.

As for the throwback purps...they are better as a 10-12 times year move than full time. Makes you like them even more that you don't get to see them all the time.

savemefromtears, it's really crazy how much better these jerseys look than ours and it was just a couple min photoshop job. But if it were up to me, I'd take that crown and simplify it even more. It just looks too busy. All the best jerseys have a very simple and classic look.

i kno we're "supposed" to hate on the ducks jerseys, but i think they have one of the best jerseys in the league. simple design w great color combination.

I know the colors have nothing to do with what happens on the ice, but it's rather telling when the players themselves picked out and preferred to wear black a couple of years ago during the playoffs, and the team's greatest success has come under those colors during two different eras.

The colors are staying. While the logo is rather dull, there is some team history that was incorporated into designing it. They wanted to retain a shield logo to go with the royalty theme and an emblem that represented the team. I would've much preferred a different design for the shield, similar to the one introduced in 98-99 but without the cheesy lion with sunglasses.

I like the vintage purple/gold jersey. But I think it's best served retired and only brought out for special tributes.

Makes the Jersey have more of a flare/mystic feel. I don't think I would appreciate that Jersey like I do, if it was the every game one.

The Black/White one's are fine, the players like them, according to Luc they sell well.

So I am fine with it.

I hated it from Day 1...and hate it even more today... At least I'm consistent...:D:D:D

Ive LOVED them from day one, still do today.....the only Kings jersey I've actually purchased. And judging by how well they sell, I think you guys are in the minority!

Keep it simple. Mostly solid black with just a crown, nothing else. Classic.

I could go with either the crown from the last 25 years or the old school one on black.

Wow. Their black jerseys are the worst in the league by far. Terrible diagonal striping at the bottom; you can't dislike the Kings logo and, with a straight face, be okay with the Ducks logo.

If you like their third jersey which has more color thanks to orange, then that's fine I guess but then you'd have to include the Kings 3rd jersey while ragging on the current sweater set.

We have a simple design and the silver/black/white is a much better and classic color combination than the black/gold/white...the gold just doesn't do it for me whatsoever. I'm fine with their white jerseys but their black ones are putrid.

With the Kings set, there is a welcome sense of nostalgia via the helmet stickers and the socks...takes me back to watching games on Prime Ticket as a kid.

While the Kings have been known to change jerseys pretty frequently, I can't imagine the black/silver/white going away this decade and probably beyond. They may tinker with the logo, but this color scheme is synonymous with the best years in the franchise's history.

Just think...it actually took me six months to tolerate the CHEVY logo...

The crown in one form or another is classic and should always be the crest on the Kings' uniform.

Just remember folks more than any other reason, this is why the Kings have the uniforms and colors they wear today:

it's some POS uniform that Luc wore when he was in the Q.
