Because that one stat paints the entire picture?

Passes defended 3, 17 pace for a season, that would have placed him 3rd among NFL CBs in 2022.

INT 1, on pace for 6, would tie him with others for first in 2022.

Sacks 1, pace 6, would have led NFL in 2022.

Tackles 16 on pace for 77, would have been 2nd in NFL in 2022.

Not saying our guy is a bust, but theirs is damn good already (and yes it’s early).
Yeah but….

Forbes matches all of that, save the sack.

He’s only got 9 tackles, however that’s not his role, to stuff the run.

Gonzales has 16? How many are guys he allowed a catch on? Those cannot count, can they?

3 passes defended plus the INT suggests he’s shutting that shit down….but I don’t have an in depth analysis of him or anything. Gonzalez has the numbers so far and it looks like he can cover or play up on the box and be a difference maker. That’s all I’m saying….not denigrating Forbes.

While facing five of the league's best receivers on 74 routes, Gonzalez has allowed only ten catches for 102 yards and zero touchdowns with an interception and a pass breakup. Plus, the longest completion the rookie has allowed against those explosive wideouts is 23 yards.
Despite his inexperience, the Patriots first-year corner is holding up so well in these challenging matchups because Gonzalez is playing sound man coverage within the scheme's structure. In the Pats man schemes, they'll provide post-safety and often "robber" or "low hole" help to their man coverage defenders, allowing them to sit on certain routes.

----------

Gonzalez has been impressive, no doubt.

RR talked about the D needing turn overs. being top 5 in yards allowed is great .. but a D getting turnovers may lead to more in game wins.

Forbes is a ball hawk in CFB so they went with him. And thats 100% cool. Ill take a ball hawk over a steady eddie.

About 2 years too early imo

I’ll take the one who wins DROY. ;)

5-10…I play 3 or 4 pick parlays mostly. I don’t do those lottery 10-teamers anymore…
Almost hit a 13 legger yesterday and didn't even realize it, or I might've taken the cash out option. $1.4K on a $1 bet...Blue Jays and the total on LA/COL game let me down.

Have you perhaps thought about what would happen. If you made an equal bet on all of these?

I’m certain you have, of all people.

Plus or minus?

I'm only taking extreme stances now. Howell is the savior of the entire sport. Forbes is its Sauron.

Green Bay should consider cancelling the rest.of their season. Ok, that one isn't extreme.

I know, pro gamblers don't f*** with parlays because of the effect on the odds, but they don't always work out that well. Sometimes they bomb. And I'm only out a buck. It's just for fun.

i go 1 dollar or 2 on 4 or 5 team parlays but that's nuts

I was gonna put some this weekend but I can't bet with confidence on most of the afternoon games because the lines are too close

I actually did go back and look at the individual odds and calculate a P/L on $1 bet on each leg. I'd have to risk $13 to win about $7. Meh. Much more fun to ride the wave on the cheap and see what happens. Kind of like a nice pick em pool.

I’ve charted that before….you have to wager so much more. If you and I had a $1 for every parlay that missed by one or two….

Very common….less so picking 13 though for sure…..but when I lose my 3,4,5 teamers….it‘s almost always by one pick that went south.

There are actually two Ledo locations here in Florida, including one in Tampa. I loved it when I lived in Maryland and I make it to the Tampa location a few times a year when I'm feeling the itch.

If you all are getting so many picks right, just throw $5-$20 on each (depending on your level of certainty). You’ll actually make some money rather than trying these crazy long shot parlays. Or pick 2, maybe 3. Or try teasing some of the heavy favorites.

I also do it for fun - but with the goal of winning enough to keep my account balance solid. If I go on a run, I’ll pull out a decent chunk. You can get $500-$1000 in winnings if you go slow and steady.

Just my unsolicited .02 after doing this for 20+ years, and having friends that are degenerate pros, lol.

I do 3,4 picks mostly….sometimes 5. 3 teamers are my most successful.

Im a sucker for the risk free bet promos. Ill check all 3 apps everyday MGM, and DK, FD and go with who ever gives me the bet insurance. It makes busted not hurt as bad lol. Like last night all 3 had them and I made 3 parlays and busted all

BetMGM gives me a pretty decent amount of $5-25 promo bets a week….very handy…

I'm in it for the madness

Where as I do it to mildly increase my interest in watching whatever events are on for day.
