Denver being gifted through Raiders penalties. Gotta keep an eye on them for next week. Surprised they aren't up by more

Know Rivere said they didn't play their best today, well they gon have to play better against Denver. I don't trust them to coast by Denver or that Russ is finished. Not by a long shot

I keep hearing everyone talk about how the Giants are so much improved this year. So far, not seeing it. :D Dallas' defense, however...

I wish we could stomp NYG like other teams do. But despite being better than NYG they continue to beat us somehow. I'll never forget the game Mark Sanchez started, NYG was WORSE off and beat Washington in FEDEX of all places like 50 to 10 lol

So after being there yesterday I will notice that the outreach to the team legends is great and hoping it happens every week. When I walked into the stadium Joe Theissman was taking pictures with fans and there was a long line of fans waiting to have their photos taken. There were 3 of them at Legends plaza after you got your banner, just in open sight taking pictures with fans, and that kind of outreach is just want this team needs.

I hope the legends make it out every week, there's a Legends Lounge brought to you by SeatGeek™ where you can just walk in and meet players, I was there yesterday (it's in Legends Plaza. open 3 hours before kickoff) and the fact that anyone could just line up and get into the lounge and meet past players was so awesome. Champ was there, RG3 went there later, Dexter Manley was there, Charles Mann...you could just approach them and get a picture or autograph. Again, hope they do this every game because if you can meet the players who helped build the reputation of the Redskins every week it'd be huge for community outreach

I was really impressed by Howell. Yes he made mistakes, but I think they are mistakes he can learn from. But the fact that he shook off the mistakes tells me a lot about his confidence and mental strength. That drive before the end of the first half, right after the fumble snafu, told me a lot. The arm strength and mobility are there.

When Howell got hit hard to the head out of bounds and brissett started warming up there was this collective groan like here we go again fitzpatrick-esque, and then he jogged back onto the field and everyone went nuts. Cards defense was fired up being such big underdogs

And it was just like I predicted, much more redskins gear there

6 - sacks given up to the pedestrian Cards
3.3 - yards per carry vs the pedestrian Cards
4/12 - 3rd down conversion vs pedestrian Cards

------------

Wylie and Charles wont be the starters by week 8, if not sooner

Howell historically bad college sack-pressure rate seems to be a real thing. Not seeing the pressure pre-snap, I like the way he scrambles and keeps eyes down field but in same breadth doesnt have great awareness of traffic around him.

If they rush 6 and we have 5 blocking .. that 6th man (or extra man) is Howell's responsibility to see it pre snap then that his guy to account for post snap.

-------------------------------

We probably lose to 28 other teams yesterday

Cards didnt throw the ball downfield, everything was around the LOS w misdirection and then they never really changed their gameplan. Easy game to coach for JDR.

When your DL has so much raw talent and is applying big pressure most all game, no other team will get many chances to throw deep on is. JDR is pretty much garbage, and without the all world DL he has, his schemes have routinely been exposed.

As for Howell, he held the ball too long, too often. As @WetHog pointed out, some of those sacks were just on him. But its his 2nd NFL start, he gets a break there. Howell clearly has NFL QB talent, he just needs more time in the offense to make quicker decisions, and a play caller who doesn't leave him out to dry in week 1. They should have been running the ball down the Cards throats all game long, not just when they had the lead late.

Im not a sneaker head but I do like good shoes.

Need a new pair of running/training shoes and just stumbled upon these bad boys, Nike actually has a commanders pegasus.

$145 total, pretty sure i paid like $90 for my last pair so theres a sneaker head mark up for sure.

Not a fan of that model shoe, but if they come up with a good colorway in an AJ1 low, I’m in.

Yeah, against better teams I bet we see the same thing we always see: the D line getting a ton of pressure with nobody coming up to finish the job. LBs were dropping into zone and covering nobody. Send that guy in to get more sacks if he's covering empty field. I would love it if the D line could do this every game, but thus far we've seen them planned around routinely.

Better offenses will do what we've always seen: run their QB through the holes our line makes, or make the quick passes underneath to shred LB pass coverage.
