This staff is joke, Letang is a joke,
Young -4
Fischer-3
Pretty sure D coach isn't helping as Fischer back to his previous 6 game weak play bad body language.
Can someone tell me how a Seasoned coach comes in for the D and then the team plays solid D with pressure in neutral zone for 8 games then things go back to way they were, where we are seeing the regression in D play and again with their iCare meters gone. This is far from playoff hockey I keep hearing from letang.
Pp is absolutely the same set up and same entry and same everything that made us the laughing stock in north America.
I have a feeling that matsos is like Sullivan came in with experience and ideas to improve aspects yet Letang's arrogance has quieted his voice with the team. Won't allow change. That seems to me makes the most sense.
Get rid of Letang can't do worse
I think they need to clean house Nd get rid of the coaching staff and just bring the leamington flyers coaching staff in, no OHL experience but they have coached in junior B league and tier two junior a league and have had success in both. Bring the whole staff in since they work well together. Dale Mitchel had success with Windsor as player in this league. Younger guys who can most likely develope young players better.

Well that wouldnr help what the issue is now. Letang will totally embarrass the fans that pay DS and Letangs salaries. Its total disrespect to those loyal fans to keep letang the rest if year at this point. Will not be worse from what I've seen of late to have ni head coach or just Matsos... saw Staubitz ar game yesterday that could be interesting as he is good developer and pp and pk were good with him

Last place in the conference is absolutely in play for the Buzz ... If im a gambling man I say at least they don't make the playoffs. SSM has a few winnable games coming up and they play us twice. GUE also plays us twice and they play flint, OS and ERIE twice each so there is for sure some wins in there. OS may be the team that is least likely to jump us but If O.S beats Niagara they have ERIE on a b2b so who knows.... The deciding factor for me is I feel like Sarnia has packed it in while the other teams haven't just yet.

It's very frustrating & disappointing how this season is gonna end. Whether they hold on to 7th or 8th or if they miss they underperformed pretty badly for at least half the season. The 2-18 stretch at least they had some excuses with the long road trip because of U17s, losing Fischer Di Iorio, Edwards, Young, Kostuch etc. There is 0 excuses for these last 2.5-3 weeks.

They set themselves up at the end of JAN to have a real chance at getting 5th. They even put it on Erie to start FEB which got us all buzzing (no pun intended lol) about how they were playing. I never once this yr thought this team would win a playoff series, but getting to 5th gave us a real shot of having a tight, competitive series.

Even if they came 6th playing the way they were playing over that stretch I thought hey maybe they push a series with KIT to 6 or a somewhat tight 5 which will be great experience for all our U17s. Skip ahead to the end of the month & this is the worst team in the OHL right now.

I honestly never even entertained the idea of this team not being a playoff team with how far back OS&GUE were most of the year until recently. Sarnia has been a joke of a franchise, but usually they make the playoffs the years they should. They usually don't outright underperform an entire season & miss.

I frankly don't even want them to make it anymore. London will embarrass them. Windsor will score 30 goals in 4 games. Both will be sweeps or a gentleman's sweep in 5. The young guys wont learn anything from complete drubbings. Rather roll the dice in the lottery & hope for another top 2 pick & start building a stacked U17 group led by Di Iorio, Edwards & whoever they'd pick.

I’m sooo done with these coaches, I sent the sting a few messages on Instagram, and commented on both the Instagram and Twitter posts on the loss to north bay. Voicing my frustration with the coaching staff and that there needs to be a coaching change soon. I hope others follow suit in hopes they listen. They need to see a lot of people complain apparently.

If Letang is still the coach you will see big set backs in edwards and di Iorio just like we seen with Barr and brown. Vicious cycle of bad development in players and terrible coaching.

Totally agree, regression for example In Hurt, Brown, Barr, early this year and now going forward after the minor hockey coaches touches on Di iorio and Edward's there will be regressions ne t season as well players always come into Letang with alot of promise only to have Him erase everything ans change the player for the worse
Look how Bodins development has been and Bridgewater from start of season til now differenece that's forsure.
Just a travesty this organization has owner / GM that just doesn't care feel bad for all us fans. Nothing positive in sight
Have to eat Letangs contract and get new bench boss. Jefferies might be better without Letang. Hopefully that's why Staubitz was at game sunday to take over rest of year as interim. Just can't wait past this coming weekend.

I think Staubitz was just there for support when he was visiting family... Would be bizarre for him to step down and then a year later become the head coach lol but who knows crazier things have happened.... Out of the old staff Staubitz was my favourite guy and it was a big loss for him to step down. I know the players liked/respected him.... Staubitz, last I heard he was in Maine either coaching or gm of an ECHL team. The reason why he left was to live with his family in the USA... I don't think he's coming back.

Sarnia didn’t play so good. Windsor stopped playing with a 5-2 lead and got horrid goaltending.
I disagree... Sarnia held a 2-1 lead till the mid point of the second... Sure they got good goaltending in the first but to beat the 2nd place team there has to be good hockey happening somewhere... you cant just say Windsor stopped playing... Buzz held a lead for longer than WSR did. You cant be a bad team, play bad hockey and beat the 2nd best team that doesn't happen.

They were outshot 47-24 and down 5-2 with 8 mins left in the game. Windsor stopped playing, only had 6 shots in the 3rd but still 2 goals. An inconsistent goalie added to the choke. You don’t get outshot by that margin with good hockey. One team quit thinking the game was in the bag and the other capitalized on horrid goaltending in the last half of the third.

1000% windsor goalie not good and team shut it off in 3rd and at same time buzz didnt quit actually played their best hockey in that5 min stretch. Things like happen to good teams. Windsor isn't winning games 2-1 with those tenders.

Plus Letang has the boys firing at this time of year when playoff hockey is needed. Can't even coach against a weaker N.B team gets outcoached. NB had a gameplan and it worked Letang just going through motions doesn seem to care how bad PP is just plays 16 year olds and Brown and Filak. Talk about development for Manza, Karimov Bridgewater Barr and bodin. Now he has destroyed Surzycia's confidence coming to biggest games of year.

yah half those shots came in the first period... Buzz played good... they held a great offence to 21 shots in the 2nd and 3rd and outshot them in the 3rd......Buzz were 2/3 on the power and won more face-offs. I guess that was just windsor calling it a day tho...

It's funny I was typing out a post about Brown, who analytically (not the biggest analytics fan but does have some value) has graded out quite well this season. Especially in the transition game where he grades out at a high level & his shot generation/quality shots is good. Which is encouraging for such a young player.

But as I thought further it somehow ended back on Letang lmao. So analytically Sarnia has a young winger who's excellent in transition & at getting quality shots. Thats good. So you'd wanna pair him with guys who also excel in transition right?

To start he had him stapled to Di Iorio who started very slow as did Brown. Now for the last 3 months he's been stapled to Beamish/Filak which worked great for 20 games, but has really quieted down. Both those guys work really hard but certainly not transition, speedy, skilled guys.

Who's probably Sarnia's best transition F? I'd say Wainwright. fastest skater on the team & one of the fastest in the league & constantly attacks opposing D off the rush.

Going back to last year who did Brown play his best with? Wainwright. Wasn't close either. Probably in large part because both excel in transition & in quick strike offense. How is it thru 57 games we haven't seen the 2 reunited? Even with multiple guys out & the offense struggling he wont put them together again.

How does that make any sense?

What cracks me up even more is one of the guys who works for the website who provides these player cards actually works for the Sting in the analytical department! LOL. So they have someone in house who could easily relay info on who works well together.

Just another example of poor coaching to me. You have proof it worked last year & you have proof analytically it would likely work & work well & somehow we haven't seen it on a team that isn't strong offensively.

Just another example of not caring about what's best for team. Why would Letang put 2 of the best and fastest transition players together? Because Letang isn't a fast transition coach. Filak 1st line (always has) someone must be getting paid to play him as much as does. Brown and wainwright should have played entire year together but I don't think Letang likes wainwright, took Half of an "A"away from him to give to filak was super confusing actually.but as season plays out seems Filak is Letangs boy, always on top line pp pk. But yet wainwright has better ppg % more goals less icetime playing 3rd line for 3 years prior to this year. Thought Letang was an analytical coach guess we were wrong! Maybe DS should pay attention to analytics then if Letang can't read. Hahaha
At end of day Letang is only hurting his own future doing what he does..

Welp, if Sarnia is gonna have any chance to get 6th tonight is probably their last hope. Lose & they fall 6 points behind Flint who has the easiest schedule remaining in the league. On top of that if they lose they could leave the night sitting outside a playoff spot if Owen Sound beats Niagara.

If they have a crap showing, or get blown out it'll tell you all you need to know for the next 11 games.

Letang has surely gotta be an insufferable guy to work with.... theres no doubt he's got this information and yet he's like nahhh let's use Filak and Doucette... Letang's mind is so simple if you make it to year 4, no matter how bad you are, you're on line 1. I can't wait for this guy to be gone.

Exactly, best players deserve to play idc if you are 16,18 or 20, best players get the most ice time, and if those players aren’t performing or lacking effort for a few games then move them down a line or two until they start playing better then you reward them with more ice time again. Pretty simple.

That's called accountability. Love to see that with this team. Reward effort. Goes for Fischer as well been bad for last 7 except the Windsor game.
DS should be on Hot seat as well for allowing this coach to coach this long this season.
Totally wasn't Haley the scape goat team played alot better when Haley was running bench and Letang was at world Jrs, doing what he does ruin previous coaches development.
loss tonight should cost Letang his Job give fans something to excited about. A new direction starting next year!

Let's give ourselves a chance to win tonight Someone needs to tell Letang he stinks at putting lines together.
Just some quick lines that could be explosive and functional as a coach would need, doubt Letang even would think of something like this. He will go same old same old! But I'd love to see something like this.
1.Brown Beamish Wainwright
2.Karimov Edward's Di iorio
3.Doucette filak Moses(check Clattenburg****** time for Filak to get back to playing his game in checking roll/ that's his role, tired of the average Offense)
4.Francheschetti Lueke Manza

Young O'brien
FISCHER Hurt
Bridgewater Barr(Omeri)

SURZYCIA

The lines tonight. Moses had our only goal Sunday. Quite the reward if he's being sat. Barr 2nd pair with Young especially is an odd choice. Not 2 guys I think compliment each other very well.
