Wow, Cousins went out of the game limping badly and I didn't see the play so figured it was a bad sprain but they're saying achilles. Acute achilles strain is rare so probably a tear.

It was virtually identical to the Rodgers one. Dropped back, tried to step up in the pocket and his right foot just gave out on him. He took an extra step or two but basically folded up super early and gave himself up, then couldn't put pressure on it getting off the field or on the sidelines.

With that loss that should end any playoff speculation and open up trading away players. Here is my list of players who should be available.

- Gibson
- Robinson Jr
- Samuel
- Logan Thomas
- Crowder
- Fuller
- Sweat

NFL trade deadline isn’t the same as other sports. Teams don’t do rentals in the NFL typically. But maybe in the era of analytics…

Brutal. Figures no contact injury would take him out. Tough dude.

Why on earth trade B-Rob? Anyone else on that list sure….

FB active? They might run 15 times instead of 10.

They ran the ball 16 times against 52 pass plays.

This is an example of the offense not being complimentary to a not good defense.

If EB sticks around Robinson is not a good fit for EBs offense. Robinson needs a head start, power run. Running out of the shotgun is not his thing. Besides he is a RB. Dime a dozen. If they can get a 3rd for him snatch that shit up.

….such a low opinion of B-Rob. Not all RBs are a dime a dozen. Doubt they’re looking to move him because EB can’t get his shit together yet. Too early to cut bait on him only to force us to pick 2 RBs next draft….if anything his running mate is gone. They just need a better pass catching RB to platoon with B-Rob.

Agreed. Plus, if RBs really are a dime a dozen, why would another team spend a 3rd (or anything close) on a guy who's 2 gunshot wounds past his own 3rd round slot?

They probably wouldn’t but you never know.

A bonafide RB in the NFL can be had in every round of the draft. Just look around the league. How many high RBs came in the 3rd or later? A lot.

I have a high opinion of Robinson. He is a very good back but it’s plain as day he isn’t a run out of the shotgun type back. So what to do with him? Forget a pick, would it be worth it to trade straight up for a lineman? A TE who can run block? Secondary help? Maybe a LB? Yes.

How about Sweat and Robinson to BAL for a 1st and change?

I don't think anybody is going to pop for BR for anything that would be worth giving him up and having to replace him. He's a second year back who's shown some nice ability to push the pile but he's never set a game on fire. Why would somebody send a 4th or 5th for a guy they could get with that 4th or 5th themselves? And why would the team trade a 3rd rounder from last year for a lower pick than they spent on him, and which they'd probably have to use on his replacement?

And as for a player-for-player trade, I don't have the words to indicate how little enthusiasm I have for the current personnel group bringing anymore players into this team. The Shit Waffles have a better chance of winning the East than RR and the Martys bringing back a useful player in exchange for a current SW of any value.

The only thing these clowns should be allowed to do is acquire draft capital for the next GM and his staff.

how did we lose to the bears and giants, both of which continue to look terrible even after playing the commanders

if they win those games they are literally 5-3

Due to injuries, 10 of the 30 teams that have played so far this week finished the game with a QB that wasn't their WK1 starter.

It could've been 11 out of 32 after tonight if Jimmy G weren't suiting up, and 12/32 if Purdy hadn't somehow worked his way back from concussion protocol.

Herbert has been playing with some kind of cast on his finger. ARI started the season with their QB2. Young has already missed games. Burrow was gimpy for the first several games after missing the preseason.

Maybe Sam is just trying to be the last QB standing.

Happy to see EB tried and succeeded in implementing some in week changes.

Minimized the number of sacks by minimizing the number times Sam was asked to do traditional drop back 5-7 steps

Lots of screens and draws
Lots of rolled out or semi rolled out pockets
Sam getting the ball out on time
Sam as taking the underneath open stuff quickly and efficiently.

Second game where EB has shown his coaching chops

---------

Defense ... its a bend dont break D that is supposed to not give up the explosive plays with the hopes our front 4 will get a sack at some point and put a team in a 3rd and long

Problem is our front 4 is not winning nearly enough and we still give up explosive plays despite playing a conservative D

Percy Butler is getting way too many snaps .. if we are playing the Percy Butlers of the world, we arent a top 10 D

NFL draft picks are so over valued. That's nothing in return for a 10 sack guy. You're not going to get another Sweat in the 2nd or 3rd round. Not equal value. I'd rather just pay him.
79.5 Million in expected cap next year for us .... thats without cutting anyone or extending etc

O line revamp might have to wait a year w dead cap on Leno (8M), Wylie (7m) and Gates (5M).

Zero interest in trading Sweat for a mid 2nd or 3rd.

1st? Yes.

A second rounder for a competent personnel staff, should be a starter or platoon guy at least pretty immediately.

I’m ok keeping him also, but he’s never had 10 sacks in an NFL season, but looks to do so in his contract year….shocker there.
