The Ducks media coverage will be even worse than it was. Eric Stephens is now covering both the Ducks and Kings for The Athletic, Elliot Tedford is no longer covering the Ducks for the OC Register and I don't know who the new beat writer is (OCR is subscription only), and the LAT doesn't cover the Ducks at all---no beat writer, just AP feeds.

Is it hockey time yet? Sure the NFL starting helped a bit but I really want to get to a game and have some overpriced beer.

Recently, I've had success of reading articles through their cached option. Do a search on the title of the article. If there's three vertical dots next to the title link, then click on it. A pop-up window should open. At the bottom of the pop-up window, look for the option "cache". If there is a "cache" option, then click it. Afterwards, it will go to that article site. Before it completely loads, the top of the site overlay should give you a few options. Select "text-only version". Enjoy.

Thanks. I'll give it a try.

I just got a refund for the unused portion of my Center Ice from when they canceled the 2020 season due to covid. Better late than never. The refund was around $20, as a credit on my monthly Cox bill.

I also just received a renewal notice for Center Ice from Cox. $69.99 for the season. The price is definitely less expensive than a few years ago, but that may be due to all of the games that are not available due to ESPN+ and other services. I will happily pay the $70.

Ah yes, those freezing back East. Meanwhile, in Southern California:

Damn, I look like a smug asshole. Didn't realize exactly how hard the East (well pretty much everything East of California) got hit until I saw it on the news.

That wasn't just "haha cold weather" that was a "Storm of the Century" type stuff in some areas. My apologies, stay warm and charged up.
