Columbus played last night and they looked like the rested team.

They looked terrible through most of the first period. It's so often the case that when you don't get that second goal in a period that you're dominating, the other team turns around and deflates you with a lucky break, which Columbus got on that shorthanded goal (not that they didn't play it well, but it wasn't the sort of goal they could have scored without a lot of help from us).

Giving up that 2nd rounder for Seto hurts even more now that it looks like that 2nd rounder is gonna be 33-36th overall :shakehead

It was a gamble. I'm guessing Chevy believed we had enough to push for the playoffs this year and there were obvious glaring holes on the right side. He picked up two guys to shore up that weakness, one turned out good the other not so good. I guess there was a risk there but one that Chevy thought would be worth taking.

There is more to this team than bad players. Our defensive system is so damn stationary. There is some major coaching influence causing this. I watch a ton of hockey and this is more than just bad players.

We need more depth in the bottom half of our roster, but I can't tell you what the hell the plan is supposed be half the time in our own end.

You need to put Wheeler back on the top line. What's your coach thinking?

You know you're off base when Andy6 is defending Chevy.

I guess it would help to say what change is both (a) possible and (b) likely not to make things even worse. Firing the coach would be the most plausible possibility, I guess, but I'm not sure that I see what that would accomplish and I also don't think it would be fair to Noel.

It was nice to see ODell get his first goal anyway. Congrats to the kid. Also nice to see Little score again. With Buff playing forward we got to focus on how terrible Bogo and Enstrom can be.:help:

Time for Chevy to put his big boy pants on and start behaving like an NHL GM instead of playing one!

Well, riddle me this - what would you propose Chevy do at this juncture of the season?
I'm not aware of any players, who could actually improve the Jets, being on the trading block, and the current choices for replacement coaches aren't confidence inspiring.

Specifically, what should Chevy do that would gain your seal of approval?
