My god the refs in this league just love to call every little thing against the habs it's insane game in game out. Last shift Elias cross checked Pateryn from behind than skated over and took a two hand swing and hit the stick of a hab player in the corner with the puck than screamed something at the ref all in the span of 15 seconds no penalty on either play. The mongoloid ref just stood there and stared at him. Veteran player I guess can do what he wants, gotta love the nhl.

It starts at the grassroots level. I'm taught "game management" instead of calling by the book regardless of situation. I'm interested in continuing to be assigned games so I follow what I'm instructed. This does, for example, mean swallowing my whistle late in a close game. I can think of a tripping call I deliberately let go this morning because it was "kind of soft" and it was 3-2 with 3 1/2 minutes left in the third period. I'm literally taught to not call it because "the situation doesn't warrant it". :dunno:
