Your point stinks if thats what youre bringing up

Does it? Here's another point, what's your message to those posting in this thread about a jersey? What was the purpose of your comment exactly? And once you come to that conclusion, also realize that you're in a thread for those that want to discuss the Devils uniforms. It'd be strange for someone to comment on a thread they don't care about, right?

lol I can't believe what people have said over changing one from one of the more generic templates in the league. it's a good template no doubt but so many teams have used it or a slightly modified version of it. it's not unique to the devils. and also this thread is wild def one to remember hahah. although I do hope if they change the jersey again after this I hope it's a redesign that is just meant to look good (not based on the Rockies for example) while also being unique in terms of design.

Uniqueness is irrelevant. The old jerseys looked great. That striping pattern isn't so much "generic" as it is classic.

it's pretty generic, you can go anywhere QMJHL, WHL, USHL, etc. and see the same basic striping pattern. I'm not saying it doesn't look great because obviously that's why it's used so much but it's not something I really would mind them going away from either because so many teams have that sort of look and it would be nice to have a unique look. I wouldn't mind if they go back to the old style either or do something like this

I would definitely take those jerseys over the **** we have now. Teams almost always have a waist stripe because it's a general consensus that the jersey looks better, it's as simple as that.

Right. Just as hilarious as those who hate these are concluding Adidas only had a couple dozen for sale. We don't know either way. It will be clearer later this season, but for now this is what we have.

When virtually every team near "sells out" of something, you either have enormously strong demand, or limited availability. There is no third option.

Given the abundance of negative commentary across the NHL spectrum (i.e. not simply limited to the Devils), I dont think it's logical to conclude there was unprecedented demand. Therefore I think it's more logical to conclude that initial inventory was somewhat limited. Time will tell, but I'm pretty confident in that assumption. My 2¢.

It's the abundance of fans that post on forums and make comments on Facebook. I'd imagine that doesn't make up even half of the actual fanbase. There are people who are fans that don't read online forums, post on FB, etc. Those are the people that will buy the jerseys anyway. Then the casual people who want the newest thing. And then there's people who actually like them buying them. You guys going nuts on this for like four posts at this point and other fans doing the same make up a very small portion of the actual fanbase.

Other than the black jersey I think these would've been great.

Does anybody know inventory totals? As in how many the Devils had actually for sale yesterday? And it's weird that the white's weren't even available. I know they have never been as popular as the reds even when we did have good jerseys. Still kind of strange they weren't for sale though. I can't imagine any sort of manufacturing issues

Considering how half assed most of the new jerseys are it wouldn't surprise me if they half assed production too.

The point is this whole topic has long past the silly waste of time threshold.

People are buying the new jerseies. This whole thing isn't going to affect ticket sales or TV ratings in the slightest. In two years they will either introduce a third or a redesigned jersey. They will claim they "listened to the fans" and all of you in here and will crow and fork over your money.

In the end the team wins, and you all got worked.

That entirely depends on how you define "win." In no way do I see any of that as a win, either for the team or for the fans.

Coca Cola removed the swoosh on their cans. Now their is a ton of red space on the can and it looks dumb.

They have ruined their tradition, and no one should ever drink coke again.

Oh wait no because consumers still care about what the actual product is and not its wrapper.

Luckily for coke people are helplessly addicted to sugar/their product.

I would buy the red-green turned red-black, as I've stated before.

I would hardly say I "got worked" if that happens.

But there are two seasons for the team to **** up the eventual 3rd jersey anyway which is what I expect will happen.

So if Exclusive Pro is no longer the official jersey customizer, then who is?

And do we know for sure if the letters/numbers are still the same layered style and font?

Watching limited preseason action, what bugs me the most is Adidas fixed the "diaper" look by making the waiste stripes contour on all the uniforms. Making the uniform change even more unnecessary.

And no the red/green uniforms turned black would not have been a good option. It is the classic 92/93-2017 look or nothing for me.

Can't believe this thread is still open. Do people really care that much that we're missing a stripe on our jerseys?

I would have just as soon ended it after the last thread except honestly this is going to be a discussion in some thread or other anyway through the first games they actually play with the new jerseys at least. We haven't actually seen these new jerseys on TV or in the stands yet.

Yes. People are this up in arms over a silly stripes on the waist. Did they look better before the remake? Absolutely. Is it a big deal? No. Yet here we are.
