These jerseys actually remind me of when Toronto removed the hem stripe for no reason in 2007. Those jerseys also looked empty. Luckily, these jerseys only lasted a few seasons before they added the hem stripe back.
Those are a lot more empty than our new ones. 1) Our stripes are larger so they're taking up more space, and 2) We have different color shoulders.
While there are similarities, there are more differences.c

good example. see guys, sometimes OLD teams do questionable things to their uniforms.
Toronto's always been kind of stupid about their uniforms. We were like Detroit and Chicago and we ****ed that up for no reason.good example. see guys, sometimes historic teams do questionable things to their uniforms.
it's like this slap in the face that could only happen to us to some of you.
this is the most distinctive part of our uniform (imo, i don't wanna start a riot) that sets us apart from other teams that wear red as their primary color and it's still there.

"Hey guys, it's ok that we did something stupid and unnecessary because teams with a longer history have done it too!"
That is some absolutely brilliant logic you've got there.
wow you really need to use the sarcasm emoji on everything or people freak the **** out
anyway classic i do agree on that though. i've always stood by the fact that this is shocking because our **** didn't change for literally 25 years, but i still don't necessarily dislike the new jerseys. it probably would have been a lot easier to take if the jerseys changes like three times since 1992.
difference of opinion is good. i think the new sweater will sell plenty of copies for at least the first two years. then by 2022 they'll be in a hybrid that looks closer to what we used to have with a new elements from the adidas sweater and then make more money, etc.
the logo is the same and the general theme/palette didn't change so i'm fine (personally), and as long as that is the case i could give a **** about proportions of stripes.
oh and ya i bought an edge 2.0 because it's beautiful and you can tell it's the same team
"We appreciate your feedback/input ---- we understand the majority of you are not satisfied with the end result ---- we are determined to make it right ---- due to certain rules/restrictions/contractual obligations we cannot make a return to the nicer jerseys until 2018/2019 etc"
Why don't the Devils just engage with their fans more, and make this go away. A very small percentage of fans like the jersey. Everybody else hates it to some degree.
Just admit your mistake and be honest and most of this goes away!

Something like this. That's all it takes really. I just don't get why the Devils are not doing a better job reaching out and communicating with the fans who are very upset and angry with this.

That hem strip on the bottom is so pointless, we wear black pants so you can't even see it.

Which is fitting because paying tribute to the Newark Bulldogs was rather pointless as well.
I have to admit, that Carolina jersey looks pretty nice.
Unfortunately we've gone from probably the best jersey of those teams to the worst. Although I've never really been a fan of the Caps jerseys. They should just go to their retros permanently. And Columbus needs something different too.
