Sorry I meant Zids was second in hits on the team. Volch is 4th on the team tied with Gio. Bernier is the team hits leader right now.

that's such a skewed stat. you need puck possession to give the puck away. Volchenkov's total puck possession this season is probably under a minute. I'm sure some of the best puck moving defensemen in the league regularly lead the league in giveaways.

maybe but that's the facts when it comes to turnovers which were the achilles heel along with poor positioning the first 6 games of this season.

Even the most staunch critics of Volch have commented he's not doing that bad this year.
