I already feel a lot more comfortable with VV in nets than Blackwood.

Tough to say for sure what goalies give up what goals, but Blackwood definitely gives up more goals this preseason than Vanecek.

And also in the last two seasons of NHL regular seasons.

Blackwood will finish the preseason with a .905% (bouncing back a bit! ) and I won't give Vanecek's real time number so not to jinx it.

Tough to say for sure what goalies give up what goals, but Blackwood definitely gives up more goals this preseason than Vanecek.

In small samples, there's also a lot of luck involved, of course. But the eye-test, for me at least, absolutely backs up Vanecek significantly outplaying Badwood.

I do think hes a good vet to have though. Have him and Bahl split the season, then a more generous rotation in Bahl's favor next season with Smith taking some games from Luke most likely as well in his first full season
