Great news, had no idea all teams that have their worst play in the lead-in to the postseason turn it around. Was worried Colorado might be a corner case and that most teams don’t just magically flip the switch.
Tonight sucks and so did Florida, but they were fine in the other recent games.

You are drunk to compare us to those Tampa or Colorado teams.

They know how to win when it matters. We don't.
Idk if I'd put Colorado in that territory before they finally won.

Tampa absolutely, though they had some major hiccups to get to that status.

And newsflash, this very young team will most likely get bounced early. Not because they ended the season hot or not, but, they are not proven in the postseason. Simple as that.

I dont want to hear any other lamé narratives that hold no water.

It’s fugazi. They have horrendous breakdowns on remedial plays. They play youth soccer chasing the puck in the dzone and try to fling it out to a winger high up the wall. Against a disciplined team, they are very easy to play against. It’s been that way 3 years now through multiple assistants. Some of us saw this possibility earlier and have heard garbage about being a gloomer for not blindly meat riding.

Perhaps some of us are upset because they see a “f***ing historic season” going up in smoke to the Rangers no less, in the first round. They are talented. That’s why it’s frustrating!
The game has just clearly passed you by. You don’t understand the modern NHL, that much is very clear. Like, do you even listen to actual opposing coaches talk about our team? “Easy to play against” isn’t what they have to say.

Also LOL@ saying we have a poor defensive team while hyping up the Rangers. Cmon coach, you need to break down the film.

This game isn’t even bad. It’s pond hockey where the Devils are on the bad end but Buffalo isn’t controlling the game nor the chances; it’s about even.

Losing has gotten into the bones of some of you that you are ok with the team wasting this season
Let's see if I an come up with all usual:

They are in third in the league

No one expected them to be here at the start of the season.

The first time they are making the playoffs in years

They are a young team
🤣🤣🤣

The doomers blow every loss out of proportion, to a ridiculous extent.

That being said, you have to a bit blinded to not see that this team is not as good defensively as the stats suggest. They allowed an opposition player to skate into the slot, completely unchallenged, in close proximity to the goalie not once, not twice, but three times…in one period. Contrary to what some people here insist, this is not something that every team does every game. These are catastrophic failures of puck management and defense. They may only happen a few times a game, but that’s a couple of times more than a team who’s gonna go far in the playoffs would be giving up.

Combine that with an anemic special teams, and there’s plenty of reason to be skeptical of how much success they’re really going to have in the post-season, despite shattering expectations in the regular season.

Would be nice to have an HC that refuses to lose his former organization like Pete and Hynes.

Thanks again Lindy

Your reasonable skepticism is a breah of fresh air, thanks for this.

I also really dont get the doom and gloom right now.
We had a few really good games recently against good teams. Despite the outcomes that werent wins.

We are almost securely settled in for a good spot.

Crazy good season.... So much positivity.

I don’t really know what this means?

This team is still a lock for the playoffs, with after tonight 10 games to go. Enough time to clean up their play. But a whole seasons of talking heads calling the devils “contenders” doesn’t necessarily make it so and what we might be seeing is the tank running dry.

Still an amazingly successful season but there is still a long ways to go until this team is gonna be able to compete in the playoffs.

Huh? They have barely lost this season. They literally only have 10 regulation losses all season. TEN, f***ING TEN.

Hence, why crying over these few losses is borderline psychotic.

I’ve forgotten more hockey than you will ever know. I don’t know why you insist on getting personal because we have different opinions.

Where exactly am I hyping up the rangers? The rangers top 6 is spotty defensively but they have the goalie that can erase a lot of mistakes.

You really feel good about Ruff out coaching Gallant? Yeah?

At this rate your beloved LOSER team will be playing Carolina in round one as the THIRD seed! Rangers will win the division!

Best I could hope for is your worthless team beats up on the Canes and softens them up for us in round two!

49811.jpg

For one very rare time I disagree with you my friend.

At this rate the NJD will not get another point all season and FLA will get every single point possible and finish one point ahead of us. They're a very good team and still haven't forgotten about missing the playoffs by one point to the NJD in 2018.

And they'll beat the Rags tomorrow night, but it will be the last loss the Rags have this season.

Book it.

Now Bill talking about Buffalo making the playoffs
Yeah, this is kind of really stupid at this point.

I laughed throughout that whole thing from Bill.

Like snorted and giggled and probably leaked a little.
