People saying we were outplayed are being melodramatic

Yup 1st line had of chances in 1st period. Nico and mercer had at least 3 good chances by 1st end.

Looked like the team was playing at 85% speed than usual.

Dont even bother disecting this one. Get ready for toronto and a good home one.

I do agree that the only thing I’ll take from here is once again the way Vanacek looks. But just have to try and let him hopefully battle his way through a tough stretch of play.

They were 100% out worked sans a couple shifts. This felt so much like us from several years ago. Where good teams would take us lightly and we would look like we had a chance, then just outskill us to victories.

This was a game where everyone got excited about their teammates and played a bit TOO loose. Lots of players had A++ chances, like Bratt, from a sick Hughes feed...and Hughes just wiffing on a shot. End of a road trip...

It felt like they wanted to globetrotter a bit on breakouts instead of making smart plays.

V's been shaky now what... 8-9 games now? Are we concerned?
Vitek was a .908 goalie last year and a .908 goalie his first year. He was .910 going into this one. It would be hilarious if he finishes at exactly .908 again.

But yes, I am fairly concerned that he could blow a playoff series for us with how he’s playing.

It obviously wasn't his best night but it wasn't nearly as bad as his game against the Avs.

I don't think we played badly

Made one mistake in the 3rd period at the end and Vitek was fighting it and once again looked shaky.

He was flopping all around playing like Jonathan Quick on a couple of those goals.

We probably win this game 4-2 in regulation before Vitek's recent cooler.
