Overall big picture I'm still very pleased right now. Just disappointing to lose this one I truly believe we have the better team. Last year the same game with the same result I'd feel differently about. So would this team. Like What Sevo and Nico had go say post game.

Wow. No mention of Deboer having his boys ready to go tomorrow night? Disappointing.
Back on page one (I think?) of the GDT.

DD cautioned all viewers to turn in early and to not get up until Wednesday morning, as Pete will be here and he's gonna let his boys coast against Pitts and beat us tomorrow.

His numbers throughout his career (especially when healthy) are better than Vanecek’s though, so where are you going with this?

Again, I’m not crapping on Vanecek. I think he’s a solid 1B. I think Blackwood has true 1A upside when he’s healthy. Based on pedigree and athleticism.

no they are not.

Well, not the numbers in the seasons when both goalies were in the NHL (2020-23) maybe, but there might be other numbers somewhere you just don’t know about.

More to the point now that the Devils are a win now team you do not put it all on a 21-year old rookie unless you’re expecting this kid to be Marty 2.0
what? lol…put it all? we’re at the top of our division, where’s the pressure? schmid has been the better goalie over the last few weeks.

honestly, the treating of him with this p***y ass mentality is kind of crazy. who hurt you guys? daws? was it daws?

Yeah but I think the trend is going to be that third period and also having got up 2 goals twice on the Rangers there.

Yet you are right we’ve got some stuff to fix and that got the Rangers to OT tied with us.

They won the special teams game and it’s why they won the game. We gave up a power play goal and our 2d power play was awful.

On the penalty shot I wish Jack has just gone straight down the middle with speed and made an instinctive play shooting the puck. You keep the initiative that way. When he swung wide like that, at slow speed, and then carried the puck in too deep, he gave up the advantage to the goalie. That played right into Shesterkins hands.

If we go up 4 - 1 there we win this game.

The Rangers tying goal was also a series of bad mistakes. On the shift right after the Rangers got their power play goal, Ruff might also have wanted the McLeod line out there to change momentum, instead of Boqvist and co. That’s on Lindy a bit imo.

OT is then a crap shoot. Wish Vitek had made that save.
Sevs provided a nice screen. :whatever:

3 winnable games coming up.

Stars coming off a back to back and 3 in 4 nights.

Flyers Thursday.

Panthers Saturday.

Winnable? Maybe compared to tonight against a powerhouse Rangers team, but good luck taking any points from those 3 teams. Pete never loses against the Devils and Torts always has our number. I'm sure by then this team's fragile mentality will be shook and they'll get blown out by the Panthers. The wheels came off so long ago they're about to lap this sorry team. Glad I don't have to deal with this anymore.

Ah, so just cut out Blackwood's two best (and healthy) seasons in the NHL because Vanecek was in Hershey posting a .907 sv%. Very sound and objective analysis.

You just know Doggo lurks this forum. Must be gritting his teeth. If we lose again tomorrow, low key chance he pops back in for real.

no sir. I dont have anyone on ignore on this site.

And yeah, I mean I guess Bratt isnt playing to his almost league leading pace anymore like he was to start the season....but that doesn't mean he has been bad.

He set our bar high now. I think that is what people expect now. But yeah he isnt bad that is for sure... Just want to see his magic again.

(And Thanks for confirming i havent been put in hf purgatory :thumbu:)
