The average goalie shows up and in his very first game with the team whose previous 9 goalies all looked like shit, against an average opponent coming off a back to back, just so happens to have an epically horrific game…just another crazy coincidence. Definitely not indicative of anything other than the goaltending. Can’t be.

Teams overachieve their skill level all the time. Its a coach getting the most out of how guys and having them play a solid team game.

Ruff has never done that here.

Also helps to get timely saves. We don't get that either.

We have talent but not so much that it can overcome shitty coaching and goaltending. They need to be coached properly.

Having to fire Ruff mid-season might have been the most predictable and safest bet of the offseason. It made no sense to even bring him back with how the odds looked.

The only part that isn't safe is trying to pinpoint when it will actually happen.

He's always been the safest bet to be the first head coach fired this year.

Can we be in a position where, at the minimum, it has to be Thanksgiving? The entire summer to fire him but it happens the first month? I wish, but that is DOA.

More than one thing can be true…thing is most people agree the system sucks and the coach needs to go. The arguments start when people use the system as a crutch for why every goalie sucks and tries to absolve them of responsibility for giving up shitty goals because BUT THE SYSTEM

God this team offense makes opposition goalies look like world beaters. We suck at offense poise so bad.

And the roster again is partially new. Same result.

Hughes and company couldnt buy a dirty garbage poke goal if their life dependant on it. We SHOULD have had at least 2 extra goals on crease puck goalie scrum luck tonight...if they could have.

Tatars gaffe before the 5th goal really did it for me.

Team is same story as always. Play kinda decent. Cant bury chances all. Stoned walled by guy we make look like Hasek. Back breaking lazy defense at worst times.

Bratt and Severson and Hughes were lacksidaisical with the puck at different points and period and it cost us.

Need to see some replays. Missed the 4th goal allowed... In bathroom.

The pre game carpet event was awesome. Kids got signatures galore. Was shocked. Dougie, Sevs, blackwood, Graves, Sieges, mercer, Nico....

i like lindy as a person but they should have respectfully “promoted” him elsewhere in the organization and put in a new coach with a (new) system and start this year fresh.

starting this year as a continuation of the pile of shit we watched the last few years is basically being declared unacceptable by the fans. the problem is it makes it worse for the players and more performances like tonight by both the team and the fans are going to make everyone miserable.

Lindy and Blackwood have been awful for two years, I didn’t boo Lindy but did boo Blackwood because Lindy for his ills professionally isn’t a freaking diva on top of awful results

I just don't like the argue that there is zero talent here. It's not a cup team but there is enough talent here to win hockey games.

Definitely not so bad we should be giving up 5 goals a night and struggling to score like this. We aren't the Coyotes despite what a few hear think

I get your point, but I do understand why people would boo. It's beyond frustrating and it's been like this for two years now for both of them.
