What does Slimer/Ghostbusters have to do with Talbot/Oilers?

The pictures above were from Talbots (never used?) new NYR mask before getting traded I think.

Really gonna miss him in NY.

Edit : After checking both pictures.. it really seems to be some Ghostbusters stuff on his new oilers mask

DaveArt is a talented artist.

He has the talent, but he sure as hell doesn't have the eye. I'd give my left nut for Hiller's mask designer to take care of every goalie in the league.

We see the Devils go from an iconic classic design to over effects airbrush nonsense.

They do indeed make good masks. Toskala's was pretty close.

The crazy thing to me is how many "masterpieces" he churns out at a time.


That in and of itself ought to be a red flag on the "creativity" and "inspiration" front i'd think.

Bizarre to me that NHL goaltenders flock to that in such huge numbers for their "TrademarkFX Assembly Line" paint job.

Either him or Greiss, but Halak had the brick wall graphic on his masks last year and his last season in STL too, so yeah probably

Daveart is obviously great at the actual production of masks, but holy **** are his compositions terrible.
