My vote is now for Whoomp There it Is. I remember them playing it in the 90's in the inaugural game against the Panthers. Given my childhood obsession with the Mighty Ducks movies, I never forgot that moment. Bring it back. Tag Team music in full effect.

Forget this post ever happened, it won't let me delete it.

Translation : I said something off-topic, erased it but couldn't erase the post I created.

That's fine, man. It happens to the best of us.

Wasn't there an NHL team that currently uses this?

Why stop there... go full Jock Jams catalog...

Not sure who initially picked Howl but it's getting a lot of steam on Twitter. I'd be very satisfied with that.

Still prepared for Fallout Boy

im thinking TGA, FallOut Boy and something off the board will be the finals

Be my guess Howl wins this first round. Hope so, gets it in and out of the way and time to figure out what song to stack the vote for next. Like to at least attempt to fight against some of the crap that some might suggest.

I definitely don't want seventh nation army. Three I liked the most were Howl, Na Na Na, and Hell Yeah still.

Howl might be the least intimidating goal song possible. And do you really think people are going to sing along to that 15 second "hey?"

Here's a question(or two) for all :

Why does it HAVE TO be a band from jersey?

Why can't the song be selected based on whether it's good or not instead of where the band playing it is from?

This obsession with "jersey bands" is just unreal.

Why does it HAVE TO be a band from jersey?

Why can't the song be there because....oh I don't know.....IT'S GOOD? :shakehead

Only bringing that up because it seems like it's important to the ownership/marketing team...pushing the whole " we are jersey " slogan this year.

Yeah pretty much, I'd be stunned if any of the three choices and the eventual winner wasn't a Jersey band. They set the precedent using the Bouncing Souls' version of Ole the last time they switched the song. Not to mention Bon Jovi's disaster during the home opener. They just better find something good this time :shakehead

I agree it shouldn't matter and I bet if you polled the fans the majority wouldn't give a hoot if it was from Jersey. I don't think Gary Glitter was from Jersey and everyone's screaming bloody murder about taking that song away so it's not exactly important from that perspective.

There is nothing intimidating about RnRpt2, even less so before the "You Suck" chant, either so I fail to see your point.

Howl isn't my favorite pick, but it can work I feel.

I think Rock and Roll part 2 is intimidating. It's needs a beat or a rhythm. Howl has none of that. The beat/rhythm with RnR is very identifiable. That's a big part of it.
