If we sign Domi, hard to picture that happening under the cap without us moving Nylander (which I'm fine with, especially if we've added Bertuzzi and Domi, but a lot of people seem to be 100% against, even if he has silly contract demands).

When they ltir or trade murray they’ll have 3.05m for Samsonov while carrying timmins’ 1.1 in the 7 hole for a 21 man roster.

After Ottawa eats 2, Murray is still owed 6M in real dollars.

One more move I’d like, if the cap allows once we re-sign Sammy and dump Murray, is get another physical defenseman. Right now only McCabe is likely to throw a big hit. If we could find a big boy to maybe rotate with Gio, that’d be swell.

Bertuzzi and Domi make a big difference for that forward group. Massive swing from yesterday's roster projection.


That said, I'm still concerned about the D. Klingberg upgrades the offense from the backend, but I still think losing Schenn as Rielly's partner really hurts defensively.

Brodie and Gio showed some age at the end of the season, and McCabe and Liljegren had struggles. Hopefully they can turn it around.

With the 3C taken care of my pipe dream is finding someone suitable for 3LD, though that's probably not possible now with the money as tight as it is

I can see us trading Jarnkrok now. He’s useless come playoffs, we could use the cap space and his exaggerated stats last year give him artificial value.
