We give Schenn and Acciari the contracts they got people would be complaining just because Treliving made the deals. lack of activity has me wondering if we're actually going to keep Matt Murray on the roster

Murray stays, Leafs just re-sign Willy and Auston, dust their hands and go into the season a worse team than last. Christ next year is looking like a write off.

I was ho hum on dubas but losing 6 regulars with zero replacements is a major problem. Massive fail. Im actually in favor of a major rebuild at this point. 2-3 trades and we could have the best youth in the league

Im sure they did but whats Tre supposed to do?...walk into a shit show and trade the best player within 4 weeks of being gm for pennies on the dollar? all before exhausting every other avenue first especially when Matthews has said he wants to stay? Tough spot to be in. I agree that a little hardball with Matthews might have been needed but still very tough for Treliving to walk into that situation and come out of it unscathed no matter what he did or does.

He's obviously trying with willy who is the only one he can move.

But I mean what do you want him to do. It seems like Murray is dedicated to playing next year so even before reeves we have 4 mil of room without even having Samsonov signed

Also our long term cap prospects are murkey because of the UFAs

Probably not trading Marner was a mistake but Dubas left one of the worst messes possible along with minimal picks to burn on getting rid of Murray etc

I assume part of the reason he left was that he saw the level of Shitshow that this is right now. He really screwed the team
