I was ho hum on dubas but losing 6 regulars with zero replacements is a major problem. Massive fail. Im actually in favor of a major rebuild at this point. 2-3 trades and we could have the best youth in the league

Majority of those 6 regulars were brought in at the TDL. It's not like they were here for a long time and we lost them. Idk why people try and put that on Treliving when he got brought into this mess.

Reminds me of the July 1st where the leafs didn’t do much and then boom, Kadri trade.

Duchene got a great one-year deal, too. Other than that, totally agree. We’ve made one bad deal, but I’m kinda glad we missed out on lots of others.

My overall take away to 5PM:

1) We clearly haven't got better, but we haven't made any brutal or horrible decisions yet.
2) We need the details on the Reaves contract. If the majority of it can't be buried, then that is trouble.
3) Holl and Schenn got paid well to go elsewhere so good for them.
4) Bunting and ROR at those contracts are good and I would have taken them both back at that price. I am fine moving on from Bunting overall. Seems pretty clear ROR didn't want to come back unless we made it worth his while.
5) Judging by Kampf's contract, I think we are running equal minute bottom lines. Not sure this is the year we get a solid 3rd line. Probably another similar to the last few.
6) Would have loved Accari back at that price. Guessing he also wasn't huge on coming back.
