I have no idea whether Ward's style lends itself better to EDM and/or Darling's lends itself better to CAL's, but simply looking at the schedule, it seems wiser to give Darling the game after 3 days rest, Ward the next one after 2 days, then Darling 2 days later at home on Saturday. As it is, we'd be looking at Darling on Thursday night in CAL, then a long, late flight home, then him again on Sat night.

Or -- DEAR LORD -- they plan on starting Ward at home on Sat night. That's what they are planning on, isn't it?

Ward is the backup to a guy who's never played a starter's schedule before. He's going to get a fair number of games. Get used to the idea.

You know this is the year 2017? How you got no internet or tv?

As I replied to unsustainable. I'm on a farm up north and there is no internet here. I looked into it, but the line was so far from the place it would have been > 10,000 to get it. I'm not here enough for it to make sense to even do satellite so I make due with my cellular data (which is quite good here), but without an unlimited data plan, I can't watch.

I clearly have internet at home in NC. I don't have TV though as I make due with my internet, the 20+ channels I get over the air and SlingTV.

I kid, but maybe the reason Friesen is no longer the team's trainer is because he's currently working on a project to splice together the DNA of Jesse Boulerice, Tim Conboy, Brad Malone, and Wade Brookbank to be the enforcer we've dreamed of? Somewhere, deep within the bowels of PNC, Friesen is working feverishly like a mad scientist to bring Jesse Malconbank to life.

So... >$10,000 to drop a line of course makes no sense, but you can't pony up for an unlimited data plan? You own a farm for goodness sake...

(Of course, I'm an addict, so even when I had a data limit I'd just watch the Canes and pay an extra $15 per GB I went over. The key is to have such bad usage habits that going unlimited actually saves you money.)

That's the problem. Usually we are on wifi 90% of the time so our entire family probably uses 4GB unless I come up here and have to use the data. Too cheap spend more on it and it typically means I miss 3-4 games a year, max.

You could buy yourself a mobile hotspot for like 30-40 bucks and then buy one of those service cards with a data plan when you need it. That's my mobile setup for work - but then again they reimburse me for it.

Yeah, it's not an insurmountable issue by any means. Just going to a higher data plan is all I would need to do, just not worth it for me just to catch 2-3 more games a season.

SMH everyone knows any die hard Hurricanes fan would put a $10,000 line in just so they could watch a few Canes games. Where's the dedication?
