Every offensive player’s instinct is to rip the puck in that situation. The only players who would drop pass it are those who aren’t confident…

He's pretty tight, so there's not much to shoot at. The pass was the right play with a better shooting angle and the goalie having to quickly adjust.

Right. I also think it can be coaching. Apparently Tocchet's system is incredibly shot selective. Idk, it's one of the only things that makes sense to me.

On another note, this has been a great game for Silovs. Shaky or not it's got to be good for his confidence to have a relatively clean game, at least statistically.
