This is my nightmare scenario, a useless game in Atlanta against a team they already beat once. Oh and I don't trust the committee not to bone a three loss Georgia team. Either way, this weekend has really changed the entire bracket.

The only situation where I’m ok with a 3 Loss team making it in is a Conference Chamoionship Loss against a very good team. This would qualify for either side to me. But lose 3 before that and absolutely not.

I think Alabama is done here so they don’t really matter.

But I’ve lumped them & Georgia in the same bucket as their QB’s have been so inconsistent this year. If the good versions show up they’re as tough as anyone to beat but if not they can be out quick.

Georgia doesn’t have the offense anymore. It’s not just Bobo either. The OL was destroyed by injuries. I have absolutely nothing nice to say about Arian Smith. And I just don’t think Beck passes the mobility bar for modern high end football even if he does stop imploding. They don’t get any easy plays. Everything has to go right.

The last two games have me back on the Beck train. He's been accurate and running at times to keep the second level honest. The problem with the offense is that he's going to gave to play at a Heisman level from here on out. Injuries in general are killing them for a second year in a row.

Georgia winning the SEC might save them. Alabama getting in at 3 losses seems absurd, but look at what’s going on behind them. 9, 14, 15, 16, 19 all lose. Boise has to escape against 2-8 Wyoming, though they are not competing for the same spot. There’s only so far they’re gonna drop. Big question is whether or not they land ahead of Indiana.

I do think the SC/Clemson game next weekend will be a play in game for Clemson, and possibly SC. SC has passed the eye test recently with their DL and QB play.

South Carolina needs Alabama and Ole Miss to lose again. They played both and lost to both. That has to matter.

We've seen recency bias creep into these late rankings in the past. How you're playing at the end of the year matters as well.

They don’t have nearly high enough of a profile for that, and it usually only applies when comparing teams who did not play each other.

That Arkansas-Ole Miss game from '01 that went like 7 OTs still sticks with me. Jason Peters made a ridiculous catch in that game. Great QB matchup too - Matt Jones and Eli Manning.

Matt Jones was a freak. I’d imagine if that profile came through the college ranks now a days they’re not even playing around & putting him at WR/TE right away.

I actually didn’t know he was 63 years old. He might be a guy that actually stays at Indiana as long as they’ll have him especially at that price.

They gave Tom Allen 7 seasons & he didn’t have a punch above weight type of season until year 4 & 5.
