I get his connection to the school, but Cristobal to Miami seems like a step down/potential disaster for his career.

Good luck getting South Florida recruits to commit to anything in the NIL era.

Was committed there initially as a recruit before flipping to Ohio State.

I had read that Texas when he was being recruited the state of Texas had a specific ban on amateur athletes receiving money which has then rescinded/changed.

now he's coming back and reportedly Texas had 'hooked him up' with an NIL that is rumored to be 'first round draft pick money' whatever that means. Sounds like well into the 7 figures though.

He was committed to Ohio State by then. He left Texas as a commit when it was going down the tubes with Tom Herman as HC.

Too bad for Ohio State. I was looking forward to seeing what he could do at the college level.

Hopefully Stroud sticks around for two more years now, since that's probably how long Ewers would have stuck around, anyway.

There was a rumor that he needed X amount of snaps next season for a seven figure NIL pay off to kick in. When his family saw that he wasn’t going to reach that level, Ewers was off to the portal.
