Difference in the trenches is stark so far. Indiana would do a lot better with a less physical style of opponent.

I don't know Indiana's personnel at all, but they better get a TE crosser going or Golden is going to sit in cover 4 and bracket all night on 3rd and more than medium.

If Indiana isn’t going to threaten the MoF, they’re in trouble. Can’t live on back shoulder junk balls to the sideline against this defense.

Yeah, what you said lol. ND IS overpursuing the flats a bit from what I've seen. Rourke might not be athletic enough, but he may have to take that 8 yards up the middle tonight to break the tendency.

The audio nerds are all over this broadcast. Since this is the first non-NBC ND Home game in so long, they’re trying to figure out if NBC mics the crowd poorly or ABC is juicing this. It sounds much, much louder than usual.

Probably a little of both. NBC was horrible at this though.

Fox is awful compared to ESPN on that front. They definitely suppress the crowd/stadium sounds over their broadcasts.

I think ESPN & CBS are the best at that of the four.

I had Indiana as the 3rd most efficient offense in the country this year, just ahead of Ohio St and Penn St. This is significantly more disjointed than they were in the Ohio St game.

All these Indiana long balls have felt like they're designed or designated per play to a specific receiver no matter what the coverage is.

Death to OC micromanagement

It’s Indiana so it should be celebrated they even got to this point. But man Cignetti talked so much shit in the lead up to call that conservative of a game.

I got a little worried when I saw him refusing to shut up, but yeah. I never assumed they’d go that conservative. Just weird. Didn’t give themselves a chance to win.

I know most people here (and everywhere) will have Penn St on their tv at Noon, but NDST-SDST is a super fun rivalry game in the National Semi. It’s definitely worth your time to throw up on a second screen.

Who gets in? Alabama? The team that lost to Vanderbilt and got smoked by Oklahoma?
Miami? ND would of put 56 on that defense.
Ole Miss or South Carolina would have been better options, but yeah, even Alabama would have been more competitive. The goal is to get the 12 best teams in, not the 12 best resumes across 5-6 conferences that don't even play each other.
