You shouldn’t get punished for losing a conference championship game. I didn’t think the committee would take SMU. Alabama can cry about it but they lost 2 games where they were 3 TD favorites

I figured once Clemson was 12, no chance they would have out SMU above them, but you are right that you can't punish SMU for losing their conference championship and reward a team that wasn't even playing. Didn't think they'd actually have the common sense/nuts to do it

The Big 12 only gets more fun. It's a conference of solid but hilariously flawed chaos goblins.

Every Eagles fan watching this game is going to dream of taking Skattebo on Day 3 and I don't blame them at all. Never going to be a volume guy, but as a role player, I'm ready to shut up and enjoy it.

Skattebo is such a try hard "good teammate". He's a wild projection, is the "bowling ball" style going to translate...probably not...but I'd rather give him the 1 random screen we break out for Shipley/covey/Dotson ect.

Ohio State is a bit of wild card. I still think on paper they have the best roster college football. So to me they still have a lot of upside despite general public perhaps being pretty down on them since last weekend.

If I had to take a guess at the playoff breakdown while looking ahead at schedules, I'd go with 3 SEC teams, 4 B1G teams, Notre Dame, 1 G5, 2 ACC teams and 1 Big 12 team.

Here’s a thought I never imagined I would say. If this is how the team is going to be built, then they need another RB. You need to lighten the Saquon load. I’ll take any one of a large list of Day 3/UDFA types and be happy. But they need one. I don’t buy Shipley and never have.

I’m looking for a Ray Davis type of swing. No meaningful investment.

Indiana-ND is a fantastic game.

The 2 seed should not have a vastly superior draw to the 1 seed, but here we are.

I think this was always going to be the way, especially since the #5 seed is potentially always going to be stronger than the #3 or #4 seeds.

Oregon vs Ohio State II being the potential quarter final match instead of the semi or final is definitely unfortunate for Oregon... Ryan Day has probably checked out and Will Howard couldn't beat a 0.500 Michigan, so there may not be a rematch anyway. Getting Tennessee instead may be worse for Oregon, too...

Yep. The Tennessee defense is the scariest unit involved in that entire game to me. I’m saying this while also agreeing with LoD that Ohio St has the most talented roster.

For sure. UDFA me some RBs, there are always guys. We got needs at OT, DE, DT, LB, TE, and WR for them draft picks.

We'll just have to wait and see how many Buckeyes show up and play that night. You could see some of them opting out to prep for the NFL draft. Many of those guys counted on Day and Kelly putting them into positions to raise their draft value. That didn't happen. As the Michigan game showed, there's a lot of dissension in that bunch. For whatever reason, they don't play up to their talent level.

At least with bowl games you knew it was the end of your team’s season regardless of outcome. Imagine sitting out a playoff game & your team goes on to win multiple games? You’d look like an absolute jackass.

I actually do feel bad of fans who like to attend their team’s bowl games. There’s really no point in investing a lot of money in games if it’s not the playoffs anymore. That Alabama/Michigan game is probably gonna be a massive opt out game for both teams.
