I don't think it's recruiting as much it's just one less day to prepare. Most OV's are Saturday-Sunday anyway, so it actually gives them more time with recruits if they play Friday. The big boys don't feel like they should have to deal with it.Penn State (along with Ohio State & Michigan) have been telling the Big Ten they won’t be playing Friday home games since Fox started pushing for more Friday/Thursday night games. So far they’ve obliged but this also the first year of the west coast expansion. I don’t know if their next angle with trying to push it more for logistics purposes.
It kills recruiting since most high schools either play on Friday night or Saturday morning.
I will say on the expansion piece, I would be fuming if I were a Rutgers fans having to deal with an 11 PM start in LA.
