Penn State (along with Ohio State & Michigan) have been telling the Big Ten they won’t be playing Friday home games since Fox started pushing for more Friday/Thursday night games. So far they’ve obliged but this also the first year of the west coast expansion. I don’t know if their next angle with trying to push it more for logistics purposes.

It kills recruiting since most high schools either play on Friday night or Saturday morning.

I don't think it's recruiting as much it's just one less day to prepare. Most OV's are Saturday-Sunday anyway, so it actually gives them more time with recruits if they play Friday. The big boys don't feel like they should have to deal with it.

I will say on the expansion piece, I would be fuming if I were a Rutgers fans having to deal with an 11 PM start in LA.

Those schools have played away games on Thursday/Friday night games since Fox started rolling them out. Granted I doubt it’s been anymore than once a year though & it’s generally against smaller programs within the conference.

Colorado is definitely noticeably better than expected this year but let’s pump the brakes a bit here.

Colorado has benefitted massively that the Big 12 is very mediocre this year, their best win was probably last week vs a mediocre Cincy team and the rest of their schedule is a cake walk. Still an improvement that Colorado is beating these cupcakes as opposed to losing to them but like you said lets pump the brakes a bit on them. They've lost to the only 2 decent teams they've played this year. Throw that Nebraska team they got waxed by in that conference and they're probably undefeated/the heavy favorite in the conference instead of a middle pack Big 10 team. Honestly the best position for a playoff team this year may be the 5 seed. You play Boise state or some other Go5 school at home then play the big 12 champion. That's a pretty easy road to the final 4.

It definitely helps there’s no doubt. I’m not even necessarily saying they’re a good team by any standard still but I think they’re decent & they’re not just winning because they have an NFL QB & WR(s) at that level anymore. They actually did improve on their flaws from last year & early on.

But if you’re a big program you definitely have to see more from Deion as far as potential prospect goes. But Stephen A. doesn’t really know shit about the sports he actually does follow fully so not too surprised he doesn’t know shit about a sport he’s barely invested in.

A non playoff berth or 1 and done in the tournament should be a death knell for Franklin. The f***ing loser should have been replaced by now but it is what it is.

Sucks because the last two years you couldn’t take advantage of the fact Ohio State doesn’t/didn’t have a superstar QB. You had no shot when they had Fields & Stroud.

This one is more frustrating than last year though. You had two opportunities down around their goal line & came away with nothing.

That red zone trip says all you need to know about why Penn State will never be an elite program with James Franklin. Run 3 plays with a lineman split out and put in motion? Didn’t work the first time, definitely don’t need to run it a second time. Then they try it again. A playcall designed to go to a tight end, ends up double covered, then the throw somehow goes into triple coverage. Wholly unserious people.

They’re lucky this game wasn’t 30-6. They’re going to get blown out in the playoff game.
