Yeah hard disagree there. Their opponents might be dictating the margin of victory, but they're legit. They were a top 3 team heading into the tournament according to a lot of advanced metrics, and were the only team heading in that was top 10 in both offensive and defensive efficiency metrics. If anything they were very unlucky this season with injuries in conference play and some unlucky losses.

You could have given them the route of any one seed and they're still there. They were undefeated ooc this year and demolished very good Alabama and Iowa State teams.

Would be the highest average seeding faced by a champ by a good margin. They havent played anyone of notice in the tournament. They match be a top 10 O & D effeciency team but their luck has far surpassed their performance with a cake walked into the championship game

This is also a year where the highest seeds were all outplayed by lower seeds, so not sure how much stock you can place in seeding when it comes to team quality across the board.

LSU won the women's championship.

I am guessing UCONN wins tonight. I am hoping for a close game which means we will get an unwatchable blowout.

Heartbreak for FAU, what a buzz beater by SDSU

Just add them to the PAC 12 already

That evening, I went to Sports & Social at the new Fenton development in Cary. Big 2-story sports bar with balconies and massive screens. It was so packed that they cut off the waiting list, just completely full of people and loud as hell. I guess with 2 relatively unheralded teams, everyone just wanted to see a cool finish regardless of the winner. When they hit that buzzer beater, the roof absolutely came off the place. It was like being in PNC after an OT goal.

This game sucks. San Diego St can't score from the field (struggling to make free throws too) and is getting methodically dismantled.
lol, you called it

Welp, back to watching baseball.

Don't say anything at all
Here's a basketball schedule format I came up with for the ACC.

The 18 teams would be divided into pods as follows:

Boston College, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Virginia, Virginia Tech
California, Louisville, Notre Dame, SMU, Stanford
Clemson, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Miami
Duke, North Carolina, NC State, Wake Forest

Teams in the five-team pods always play each other twice a year, plus the 13 other schools once for 21 conference games.

Teams in the four-team pods will play at least twice a year, with Clemson-Georgia Tech and Florida State-Miami always playing thrice a year, and the Tobacco Road pod will rotate which match-ups get a third playing each year. Teams in these pods would play the other 14 ACC schools once a year to make up their 21-game conference schedule.
