We should have new owners who are loyal to home grown players. But we just let Harper, Turner, Soto, Rendon all walk after rookie contracts.

Aint the beer cold?

Will be very interesting to see what they do as the trade deadline approaches (Aug 1). I'd still feel a lot better about them if they had a near-top of the rotation veteran starter. They clearly have the prospect depth to acquire pretty much anyone they want, not that they should be dumb.

Northern Virginia has two high schoolers expected to be drafted in the top 2 rounds or so. Bryce Eldridge from Madison in Vienna is widely considered a top 25 draft prospect, and Jonny Farmelo from Westfield in Chantilly is top 50.

they went straight to the draft. no bettman talking about the league for 10 minutes before the blackhawks get on the clock

I believe they ditched the 'War' part of the name because suburban softies.
Well, my HS changed it's name to John R Lewis..

(To go semi-on-topic, our most notable athlete alumn in my lifetimei is probably John Engelberger, one time 1st round pick by the SF 49ers out of VaTech.)

Damn. I wanted Skenes for the Nats. Oh well, next guy on the list, both Langford and Crews are complete studs.
