9 straight Ls for the Wiz after they blew a 15-point lead today. They’ve lost 12 of 13 as well. They suck.

KP has been really good though, so maybe they can trade him and get something. And Kuzma announced he’s opting out of his contract this summer so they should definitely trade him as well. Just punt everyone and start over.

Maybe it s the capital one beer talking at the game but the f***ing wizards wee legit wemby bad. It's so sad because they showed potential eerily on but don't feel like winning anymore. Worst Ted team in a while

Kuzma is the hottest wizard in a while and he may be dealt for peanuts to a contender. So sad.

“wee legit wemby bad” lol, you sound like me after the edible hits.

Dealing him should net a first round pick you’d think? He’s really good.

I told you all a trillion times that nobody wants to play here and the few scraps we manage to scrape up in NBA free agency get injured (like Delon Wright a few games into the season) and we have to depend on 2 way players like Goodwin and the rest of the NBA discards in order to try to scrape together a team. It's so pathetic that in the NBA a "small market" (and spare me the spiel about how Washington is not a small market, they spend like and act like one) cannot draw ANY alluring FA talent like Butler / Durant / LeBron because they only want to play for championship organizations.

The Wizards trying to SNAP out of purgatory as with any NBA team (including the NY Knicks) is nearly impossible. GS did it and Milwaukee, sure. But they have generational superstars and a supporting cast with players who want to play there. Even Dallas with Doncic can't get past GS lol.

I see a lot of talk that Shepard should be fired. IF anything Shepard IMPROVED the fortunes of the team by discarding two idiotic contracts. He should be given a parade. That said, the lack of output from Johnny Davis has been very concerning, he was drafted way too high. Only knock on a largely decent career so far.

The wizards have nobody to blame but the league, not themselves, for this rut. They can't get any FA talent here. They don't have depth to replace guys like Delon Wright. The coaching leaves a lot to be desired but when you put together a mishmash collage of disjointed pieces because you can't draw the real talent, how do you expect any modicum of success??

Draft better. Get a legit star and others will come. Beal is a poverty star…..he’s this generation’s Jeff Malone. Shep’s drafting has been average to poor.

Letting Ted and Shep off the hook is a cop out. It’s everyone’s fault but our own…..wahhh….

The Johnny Davis pick was a huge overreach. At the time people were surprised the Wizards drafted him so high, and he didn't do much in Summer League. Maybe he succeeds but I was hoping for someone who could contribute NOW

This stuff you post is as cringeworthy as it is false. Now is not a good time for you to blame the league for the Wizards being incompetent. The top teams in the Western Conference standings: Memphis, New Orleans, Denver, Phoenix, Memphis, Sacramento. So did Portland, Utah, Memphis, Phoenix. Some real big markets in there.

Guess what those teams did? They planned for the future. They tanked, traded good players for assets, drafted high, developed players. They accepted they’d stink for a little while but it was worth it to have a competitive team on the other side.

People on the internet, including posters here, saw this coming two years ago. Two years ago we were saying to trade Beal. Two years ago we said accept the fact that 2014-2018 looked really promising but injuries and bad luck screwed us and it’s time to move on. They could have had a king’s ransom for Beal. Beal doesn’t even want to be here and Ted gave him a quarter of a billion dollars. It’s lunacy.

They have NO ONE to blame for this except themselves. Tommy should be given credit for getting out of bad contracts but then he signed Beal to an albatross and they’re back at square one. They’ll be irrelevant for the next half decade at least.

It may be possible to get out of small market purgatory but Memphis, NO, etc aren't championship contenders. The league is so stacked that only Boston and Milwaukee are title contenders at this point (and GS may still figure it out)

I'm just amazed that the Wizards best ceiling is a 2nd round playoff appearance. They'll never win a title unless they spend to bring superstars here, and superstars don't want to play here.

I just want them to be competitive first then we’ll talk title contenders. I’ll go to my grave thinking that the Wiz go to the Eastern Finals, at least, in 2015 if Wall didn’t break his wrist in the playoffs. They had the makings of an elite team and then it went to shit.

Just because they can’t buy their way to a championship doesn’t mean they can’t run themselves like a professional organization. Ted is clueless when it comes to the Wizards.

TS does not have the same power that Grunfield did. As others have said getting out of some contracts kind of been the only positive for Sheppard. I don't mind the Rui/Deni draft picks. Deni is only 21 but his 3 point shooting, which started ok in the beginning of the season, kind of further regressed. Rui what missed like a bit more than a third of the season last season now been out injured with a bone bruise for a while they don't even talk about him being close to coming back. Apparently Wright is finally coming back this road trip. I can see him and Goodwin really being able to turn the screws on defense.

I would be fine stripping the team back down to the studs if I had confidence in their drafting and player development....

5th worst record in the NBA. Nice job Ted.
This and the year before where they tanked for Wall were the worst Ted times, otherwise Ted's team are mediocre at worst.

Edit: there was another year they were miserable and projected to win the 1st pick, but the situation that had a 10% chance of happening happened (Wizards drafted 10th that year, think they drafted Rui)

This one is all on Ted. For some reason he has said the Wiz won’t tank again which shows he’s clueless. In order for Washington be a relevant team they need to shed contracts, suck ass, and hope to strike gold in the lottery. They have $100M committed to three players and they’re an awful team.

I give Tommy credit for shedding contracts but this team is abysmal and they have no path to getting better. Drafting and developing has been subpar, at best. They have to get worse in order to come out stronger on the other side and if Ted won’t support that, the Wizards will continue to be a very expensive and irrelevant afterthought in the NBA.

As soon as it was reported Kuzma was gonna opt out they should have been trying to unload whoever they could.

The real problem is even if they get Wembanyama and he's the truth, they're gonna suck for most of his cheap years. I can't imagine what they'll have to take on to trade Beal. Maybe they can fleece the Lakers for Russel back and picks. Would be ironic/hillarious if Westbrook is the guy that got them out of both the Wall and Beal contracts.

Unsurprisingly….The Masters doing whatever the F they want to do. The LIV guys must be ecstatic……now if one of them can contend or win….things will get really fun to watch…..
