Was going to post a reminder the MLB draft started this Sunday.

As for the nationals looks like it will be a position player at least. Haven't drafted this high since Rendon who feel because of injuries.

After that guess we are looking at the Commanders training camp on the 26th.

Its bigger than Trout's deal and no deferred money. This is Borus BS but Soto has to take some of the blame here. Other than Starsburg who wanted to resign with the Nationals I just don't get it. One thing I still remember way back that still sticks with me was when Desmond was approaching free agency and he was getting offers by the Nationals and basically what he said was that he owed it to other players who play his position to go to free agency and get ALL THE MONEY they could to push up the salary. I've seen versions of this spouted by other MLB players time and time again over the years. If 440 guaranteed money is not good enough for Soto than he can f'ing sod off.

This has to be one of the dumbest articles that a sports journalist could have possibly written. So the Nats are supposed to delay their rebuild for 2 more seasons while buying their way into mediocrity (from current suckage). Because there’s no way they sign all those players on short contracts, does he not realize there’s competition for these signings from other teams? And on top of that they lose Soto for nothing?

Speaking of Soto, he can go fly a kite. Can’t play the outfield worth a lick and I don’t remember Trout having a season as bad as this. I’d up the offer one more time, to the other side of $30 mill, and if he rejects it trade his ass. We will be better in the long run with high end pitching prospects. Then you’ve got Vaquero and House who will hopefully be ready in 2-3 years, along with Ruiz and Garcia’s development. This could be a team built to compete for a decade (like our last iteration).

He’s just following Scherzer’s example.

Woooooo Cam Smith.

That’s gonna hurt for Rory.

Cam Smith took the championship on 18 and Cam Young pick
pocketed him for another 500k on the same hole….ouch.

Gutted. Won a bit of money this week off of Cam, but even still, I was hoping Rory would get it done with the crowds so overwhelmingly in his favour.

-2 really isn't good enough at St. Andrews. He should've had it.

So right now the LIV rumours are that Matsuyama, Stenson, Leishman, Scott, and the champion golfer of the year Cam Smith are set to jump ship at some point over the summer, likely after the President's Cup.

On the NoLayingUp podcast, they said that Hideki is going for more money than any of Phil, Bryson, or DJ have gotten.
